The campsite is beautifully located on the river Cèze, surrounded by lush green nature with plenty of shade. Guests particularly appreciate the stunning location, friendly staff, and excellent restaurant with reasonable prices. The swimming pool with slides is a hit with children, and direct access to the river provides wonderful refreshment. However, the significant height differences on this terraced campsite are a point of attention, especially for families with young children or less mobile guests. According to some visitors, the sanitary facilities, wifi, and power supply also need improvement.

A very pleasant, quiet campground in the woods.
Access to the river, which is much calmer than the pool.
The staff are very friendly and cheerful—truly pleasant.
The restaurant is excellent, and the portions are very generous.
The mobile home is very well laid out and clean; the only downside is the steep slope leading to the site—you’ll need to be in good shape.this is a translation, click here for the original

A natural setting where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. On the banks of the Cèze, with a nice pool area. The terrain is varied!

Very disappointing compared to Slow Village standards.
We’re regulars at Slow Village and chose La Roque-sur-Cèze with confidence, expecting to find what we believe defines the brand’s identity: intimate settings, a warm, family-like atmosphere that’s authentic and welcoming.
Unfortunately, this week has been a real disappointment.
At La Roque-sur-Cèze, we found a very international, very crowded site, with accommodations sometimes extremely close to one another and a feeling of overcrowding that’s quite far from the “Slow Village” spirit we had come to seek.
The disappointment also stems from the fact that the Slow Village here shares its grounds and facilities with another campground. This makes the experience feel much more like a large, traditional campground than a “glamping” Slow Village. The brand’s promise—that of a more intimate, authentic, family-friendly place designed around a certain quality of experience—simply doesn’t seem to be fulfilled here.
Furthermore, some accommodations are quite far from the common areas, the pool, and the main facilities, which can be quite inconvenient, especially with children. (An 8-minute walk—and it’s uphill!!)
What disappoints us the most, therefore, is the disconnect between the Slow Village promise and the actual on-site experience.
For us, La Roque-sur-Cèze unfortunately does not currently meet the standards of experience we associate with Slow Village, especially when compared to Biscarrosse.
We hope this feedback will be taken into account, as the location has real potential, but the experience currently offered is, in our view, far removed from the brand’s promise.this is a translation, click here for the original
