Summary created out of 225 reviews
The campsite is situated in a stunning location on Lac de Serre-Ponçon with breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, the excellent restaurant with lakeside terrace, and direct lake access via a private beach. Sanitary facilities are a key area for improvement: guests report that they are outdated, insufficient in number for the size of the campsite, and that cleaning is superficial with frequently empty soap and paper supplies.

We spent a week at this campground, which is supposed to be a 4-star property.
Our stay took a turn for the worse when a power outage knocked out the wastewater pumps, causing sewage to spill onto the beach in front of the campground. Beyond this unforeseen event, which was beyond the campground’s control, management saw fit to inform guests only via email and to put up a ridiculous sign (small posters and caution tape at two of the three entrances) supposedly closing off access as a precaution. The result: dozens of unsuspecting swimmers, the Regional Health Agency (ARS) demanding that access be closed (the beach was closed for a total of three days, after all), and management denying the health risk. Staff only informed guests when asked (no verbal warnings or security guards present on the beach). Disastrous. I hope there are no infection concerns, but since people weren’t warned, will they know to hold the truly responsible parties accountable?this is a translation, click here for the original

The campground’s location and the beautiful natural surroundings are fantastic. Since there has apparently been a change in management, we are deeply disappointed with the staff’s service. They barely speak English, and all our requests came to nothing. The reserved site wasn’t available, it was very noisy in the evenings, and the washroom was very dirty and covered in cobwebs.

"So-called 'comfort' chalet" at
I was disappointed with the 5-person chalet at 1,700 euros per week during peak season.
A "comfort" chalet? I’d call it more of a run-down chalet with no air conditioning, a terrace in full sun, and not a single umbrella to provide shade. No lounge chairs. The bedding was uncomfortable. No cell service in the chalet and no Wi-Fi at this 4-star campground. Lack of storage space. The chalet was supposed to be available at 5:00 p.m., but there was a delay. We didn’t get it until 5:30 p.m., even though we’d arrived at the campground at 4:15 p.m.—I find that unacceptable.
On the positive side—because it’s not all bad—the staff is very friendly, cheerful, and helpful. The facilities are decent, but it’s far from a 4-star campground.this is a translation, click here for the original
