We were there for a weekend with our Paradiso and had also rented a small barrel. The price was reasonable; the one restroom building that was open was well-equipped and clean. The staff was super friendly and gave us a spot next to the barrels with our Paradiso so we could be closer together. It wasn’t crowded, so we had plenty of space. However, when it’s fully booked, the spots are very tight. Unfortunately, our spot was very sloped, and since it was right next to the waste disposal area, it often smelled like it. The toilet container was also clean but very cramped; the second restroom building is still closed. I’d go back for a weekend—it’s well-suited for hiking and water sports—but to spend my entire vacation there, the spot we had wasn’t good enough, and other spots further back wouldn’t be close enough to the restroom building if you don’t have a wet room.

Boring. The campground has nothing to offer families with children. The lake/beach isn’t directly accessible from the campground, which wasn’t clear to us when we booked. The kids ride their bikes back and forth all day because there’s literally NOTHING else to do. The playground is tiny and really only suitable for toddlers. The restrooms are okay, but not really modern. The tent field gives the impression of a youth campground—not our thing. The “store” isn’t really a store, just a corner next to the reception desk…my husband rode his bike to the supermarket in Attendorn. If you don’t have an e-bike, you’re out of luck here... he was gone forever because the climb up to the campground is strenuous and extreme. We were bored, even the kids. The sites aren’t great either—green strips with weeds growing on the sides. In the evenings, though, it was pretty quiet; everyone was considerate. So, it was okay.

Langweilig.

We had a 6-person house that was nice and spacious. However, if there are actually six of you, the sofa is quite small. There are also two separate chairs. The spacious dining table has six chairs. A very well-equipped kitchen with all the bells and whistles. The bathroom was also perfectly fine. A good TV with many Dutch channels. Three bedrooms, each with two beds; the two larger bedrooms have air conditioning, the smaller one does not. The living room also has air conditioning. Private parking next to the house. Very spacious terrace with a large table and six chairs. The view was of other houses and trees; the lake isn’t visible. It’s very quiet and peaceful, which is because there’s really nothing else around and nothing to do. If you have kids, you’re in for a big letdown. The Biggesee adds nothing; absolutely nothing happens there. It’s quite an expensive park (with no amenities whatsoever).

We stayed with a family friend, 8 people and 2 dogs, for a total of 5 days. Paid extra money when booking to get a mobile home right at the entrance to the lake (should be easy for the kids). The house was right at the entrance to the lake, but it was locked. When we asked, we were told that this was only a service road. In the park map, however, this path is marked as a "normal" path and suggested to us that there was direct access to the lake. And we weren't the only ones who thought this, but every day we had loads of people walking past us with the map in their hands to take the path to the lake, only to find themselves standing in front of a locked gate. Well, the €44 has now been wasted. Maybe it was just us being stupid. The ladies at reception said they would pass on the misunderstanding - which I don't really believe... The house has everything you need and ours was spotlessly clean. Unfortunately, far too few places to hang things (no coat rack, no towel hangers in the bathroom). But everything is very new and modern. The location of the pitch is simply fantastic with lots of possibilities. However, I also found it dark at night as the lighting on the paths is very sparse.
