Summary created out of 249 reviews

The location at the Biggesee is beautiful with walking and cycling opportunities in the immediate surroundings. Guests appreciate the peace and nature, although the campsite is clearly in transition with many cordoned-off areas and construction work. The sanitary facilities are a major point for improvement: guests complain about black mould in shower grouting, insufficient hot water during busy periods, and too little toilet capacity because one sanitary building is closed. Staff receive mixed reviews – some experience friendliness and helpfulness, others feel unwelcome or get insufficient response to complaints. There is hardly any entertainment or catering, which is disappointing for families with children.

A lovely new cottage, a mix of practicality and luxury. The park itself is very basic, but the natural surroundings are beautiful. The surrounding villages aren’t very lively; you’d have to drive a bit further for that.
Service is minimal. We arrived 1.5 hours before check-in, and everything went smoothly. At the front desk, we were told that … our cottage was ready, but that we weren’t allowed to use it yet—unless we paid €35 for early check-in. I find that a bit silly, especially when they mention that the cottage is already accessible.
We were quite willing to pay €35 for early check-in, but then you’d also want to feel that they went out of their way to have the cottage ready earlier—and you’d want to be able to check in at 1:00 p.m. We understand these are the rules, but we had hoped for better service here. The receptionist’s unyielding attitude certainly didn’t help matters.

Service is minimaal.

It's a great campground, though you can tell they're renovating, so there's room for improvement—but they're working on it. The main building is nice, and the shower is wonderfully warm.
The view from the campground is really beautiful.

Here, in the middle of nowhere, the place smelled like a pigsty. We had to open the windows right away to make it somewhat bearable. My child found two small objects on the floor and almost swallowed them. Thanks!
There’s only one key per room.
