The campsite is beautifully situated along the Sauer River, directly opposite the historic town of Echternach in Luxembourg, and offers spacious grass pitches. Guests appreciate the central location with shops and restaurants within walking distance, the heated swimming pool, and the friendly welcome. Sanitary facilities are cleaned daily, although visitors note that one cleaning round per day can sometimes be insufficient during busy periods. The campsite is popular with families and ideally located for hiking in the Mullerthal region.

Unfortunately, our 9-day stay at Campingpark Echternacherbrück was disappointing overall. Our expectations for a campground in this price range were unfortunately not met.
Restroom facilities:
Our personal impression was that the restroom facilities could use a thorough overhaul or renovation. We also had several reasons to criticize the cleanliness during our stay.
Service and Reception:
We found our interactions with the reception staff to be mostly impersonal and rather distant. We would have appreciated more friendliness and attentiveness both upon arrival and departure. Upon our departure, there were two female employees at the front desk who did not seem particularly customer-oriented. This is, of course, our personal perception, but especially at a campground, we would have liked a warmer atmosphere.
Noise:
The location along the road leading to the Luxembourg border crossing is something you should definitely take into account when booking. During our stay, we noticed significant noise pollution, particularly from motorcycles and other vehicles with loud engines, as well as, at times, from screeching tires. Even in the late evening hours, it was, in our opinion, quite loud at times.
During our nine-day stay, we personally did not see any grounds staff. Especially given the situations we experienced in the evening, we would have liked to see regular checks of the site and, if necessary, a contact person on-site.
Additional experiences:
The disposal station for chemical toilets also left a poor impression during our stay. In our view, the connection to the siphon was not properly or securely attached. When I was emptying it, the connection came loose and the contents spilled all over my feet. That was extremely unpleasant and should definitely be checked at a facility like this.
Additionally, our site did not have its own water hookup. The nearest water connection we used was about 50 meters away.
There were also some young Dutch guests at the campground during our stay, whose behavior we at times found to be loud and inappropriate. Here, too, we would have liked to see a stronger presence of campground staff. This refers specifically to our personal experience and not to Dutch guests in general.
On the positive side:
Use of the swimming pool and electricity were included in the price. In addition, a bread truck from a local bakery drove through the campground in the morning—a very pleasant service. However, when we asked about it at the front desk, we weren’t initially told about it.
Conclusion:
There were certainly positive aspects, but overall, the negative experiences clearly outweighed the positive ones for us. We see room for improvement, particularly regarding the condition of the restrooms, the perceived level of service, the noise levels, and the amenities on the campsite.
For us personally, the value for money is therefore unfortunately lacking. Based on our experience, we would not visit this campground again at this time and therefore cannot recommend it.this is a translation, click here for the original
