Beach and sea on the Etruscan coast

The beaches of the Etruscan coast are a short distance from the campsite. Here, wide sandy beaches alternate with peaceful stretches of nature. In places like Vada and Marina di Bibbona, you can easily walk onto the beach for a swim in the sea or an afternoon in the sun. Water sports such as windsurfing and swimming are also very popular here. The coast is easy to navigate and easily accessible from the campsite.

Cycle along coast and hills

The surroundings are ideal for exploring by bike. From the campsite, you can ride towards the coast or inland, passing cypresses, olive groves, and small villages. Popular routes run, for example, from Cecina to Bolgheri. The landscape is varied and the roads are quiet, making it easy to spend a day out without a set plan.

Taste the Tuscan wine and gastronomy

In the surrounding area, there are various villages where you can truly experience the Tuscan atmosphere. In places such as Cecina, Rosignano Marittimo, and Bolgheri, you stroll through streets with small shops and terraces. Bolgheri is also known for its long cypress avenue and the vineyards in the area. Here, you can visit wineries and taste local products, such as wine and olive oil. Many of these places are just a short drive from the campsite. You'll drive through a landscape of hills and fields, where the pace naturally slows down. Here, it's less about ticking off highlights and more about driving around, stopping, and seeing where you end up.

Active in nature or a day out

Besides the beach and villages, there is plenty to do for those who want to be active. In the area you can hike through the Tuscan landscape or go horseback riding along nature trails. There are also opportunities for water sports such as windsurfing and swimming along the coast. For a day out, the Cavallino Matto amusement park is close by, with attractions and shows for different ages. You can also visit historical sites from the Etruscan era or go to a city like Pisa for a day trip. The combination of nature, coast, and culture makes it easy to alternate activities without having to travel long distances.

We spent 3 nights and 4 days at this campground. In Camper we chose the option Pitch with private bathroom. Excellent choice, huge pitch ,shady under the maritime pines.Private bathroom with personal key ,well maintained and with recent and modern sanitary facilities. The campsite has everything you need to spend a quiet vacation with family and or friends. It is only a few minutes from the sea so you do not necessarily have to move with bicycles or other means you can also move on foot. Good service .

Wonderful camping under pine trees - a piece of Tuscan happiness! 🏕️🌲 Sandaya Toscana Bella is a wonderful campsite for anyone looking for the real Tuscan lifestyle without sacrificing comfort. We absolutely loved our stay here on the beautiful Etruscan Coast! Great location surrounded by greenery: the campsite is wonderfully shady and nestled in a pine and eucalyptus forest, which makes the climate very pleasant even on hot summer days. The beautiful sandy beach on the Mediterranean is just a 10 to 15-minute walk away (approx. 700 meters). Alternatively, you can simply hire a bike from reception! Top facilities & pool: The site is extremely well maintained and beautifully laid out. Whether you stay in your own camper on the beautiful pitches (some of which can even be booked with ultra-modern private sanitary facilities!) or rent one of the chic new mobile homes - nothing is missing here. The highlight for families is the fantastic pool area with its heated outdoor pool and soft floor for the kids. Italian delights: you don't necessarily have to leave the campsite in the evening. The campsite's own restaurant offers delicious pizza and regional dishes, and the small supermarket has everything you need for breakfast. The campsite is also well equipped for dogs (there are even extra dog showers!). The location is also a perfect starting point for day trips to Pisa, Siena or San Gimignano. A little tip: As on almost all southern campsites, there is a bit of evening entertainment in summer - if you are looking for absolute peace and quiet, you should perhaps choose a pitch a little further back. For us, it was just right for the cheerful vacation mood! A familiar, clean and really great place for a relaxing beach and discovery vacation in Tuscany. We would love to come back! (5/5 stars)

(5/5 Sterne)
