Summary created out of 204 reviews
Park 777 is located in a beautiful natural setting near Assen and offers spacious camping pitches. Guests appreciate the games hall, swimming pool, and generous pitch sizes, although the sanitary facilities are inconsistently clean. The young staff tries hard but often lacks experience and supervision. The on-site catering suffers from long waiting times and variable quality, and the opening hours of the shop and snack bar cause dissatisfaction. Despite disappointments regarding cleanliness and service, families with children enjoy the many play facilities and the animation team.

Everything used to be better!
That’s certainly true of Witterzomer. It’s not what it used to be. The restrooms are caked in poop and mud… just last year, they were cleaned daily. The grass used to be mowed every day, too.
For someone with osteoarthritis and rheumatic symptoms, the pool is way, way too cold. And then you’re told that it’s actually heated (15°)—seriously… Do your homework—25° to 29° is the standard—and don’t give me that “it depends on the weather” nonsense… our local outdoor pool manages it just fine! The activities are a bit too monotonous. And there’s not much for (pre-)teens to do. We used to have the “bielshoes”… Yeah, kids these days are a handful—that’s true… but put some security there… you can do that even for a simple bingo night.
Then there’s Rappehap. Last year I saw staff picking up fries off the floor and just putting them back in the containers… This year you get mushy, almost liquid ice cream, overcooked snacks, and soggy fries.
What strikes me is that there are a lot of inexperienced, very young (probably because they’re cheaper) staff members everywhere. Better supervision and/or at least one experienced, older person on hand… I keep saying it.
It’s all a bit of a shame!
Please do something about this… you’re losing customers this way—and therefore revenue....this is a translation, click here for the original
Vroeger was alles beter!

For personal reasons, I didn’t feel comfortable being at home, so I booked a chalet at Witterzomer. After a weekend there, we decided to extend our stay by a week. However, when I explained the situation (out of courtesy) to the girls at the front desk, we were told that we were no longer welcome. According to them, our stay no longer qualified as a vacation, and we had to leave the park. Bizarre and inhumane. The receptionists are not suitable as the park’s calling card. Zero empathy and anything but hospitable.

Edit na reactie van de camping;

If I could give zero stars, I would have. What an outrageous display. Booked on April 21 to camp May 22. Due to circumstances we wished to cancel it on April 24 (so 3 days later!) and have to pay 90% of the payment because 'they occupied a spot for us'. Holding a spot for three days when the vacation is not for another month? How dare you claim it with a straight face! This has nothing to do with 'covering costs', this is just unabashed pickpocketing on the backs of their 'customers'. This park apparently would rather have a one-time 90% loot than a satisfied customer who will come back again. Not one shred of empathy or normal peasant sense. Save yourself the frustration and your money: NEVER go here!

We were there for the fourth time to watch MotoGP and took the same spot—"the field"—as usual. It’s just as it should be and what we’re paying for, but the food in the restaurant is lackluster. It’s getting worse and worse. I had a single pizza, and it was okay, I guess 👍
There’s an awesome atmosphere on the weekend of the MotoGP 🏍🏁this is a translation, click here for the original
