We were there recently during the first two weeks of the Hessian summer break. The first week was still very quiet, but it filled up a bit during the second week.
It’s generally very peaceful, quite secluded, but great for relaxing.
We really liked the Panorama Cottage 4—there was plenty of storage space in the kitchen and around the kitchen island. The bar stools around it were super practical, so cooking, playing, and drawing could often happen all at once. It had a large refrigerator and a modern oven/stove. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much cutlery—we only had three forks.
Since we were staying in a dog-friendly house, the couch had a few stains—which, personally, didn’t bother us at all.
The beds were super comfortable, and the shower was extra large.
The kettle was descaled, but the coffee pot was black—so I gave it a quick clean.
Unfortunately, the oven only had one rack—and everything dripped down while baking—thank goodness I had my oven cleaner with me.
The marina is right on site, across from the front desk/restaurant, with the outdoor pool behind it, which was also wonderful.
There is a beach, but it’s not that nice.
Lots of rocks and shells, a small stretch of beach; boats were constantly being launched right next to it, which also bothered the anglers standing a bit further away—nobody caught anything.
So all in all, we were satisfied and would come back—but only if we get House 305 again, which is on the edge of a field and more secluded. Many other guests can see right onto each other’s tables, or their patios are right on the “main access road,” which we personally wouldn’t like.
Lidl, Aldi, and a coffee shop are 25 minutes away; there’s a small Plus supermarket in the next town over.
If you’re traveling by bike, you often have to take the ferry to get across—€1.50 per person.

"On June 26, 2026, a Code Red warning was issued for extreme heat. By evening, the temperature inside the vacation home had reached 45 degrees! I have three children between the ages of 7 and 12. Since the front desk had closed early due to the extreme heat, I couldn’t reach anyone. The next day, they offered me a single fan. I appreciate that they’re looking out for their staff, but the guests are left to fend for themselves.

I don’t blame the front-office staff—there wasn’t much they could do. But I expected more from Europarcs."
