The Achterhoek is renowned for its diverse landscape with forests, streams, castles, and characteristic farms. This route takes you to 10 different locations where unique stories from the Achterhoek have been brought to life through impressive mural paintings on silos and agricultural buildings. One of these remarkable artworks by the artist duo Telmo Miel can be found in Lochem. With an area of a whopping 1300 square meters, it is one of the largest street art pieces in the Netherlands. Not much of a cycling enthusiast? No problem, the tour can also be completed by car.

Glamping de Lochemse Berg is located in the eponymous nature area, right by the river Berkel. It offers a perfect and beautifully green environment for delightful walks or enjoyable picnics. For the more adventurous, climbing to the top of the Paaschberg is a must. Explore the cozy and authentic town of Lochem as well, which is just a 10-minute walk away and boasts numerous charming restaurants and shops.

As a wine lover, the vineyard De Braoke is definitely worth a visit. Situated amidst meadows and forests, just outside of Laren, you will be pleasantly surprised by the vineyards of De Braoke. Since 2003, flavorful wines have been produced from various types of red and white grapes. Every Saturday afternoon, you can take a look around and, of course, enjoy a glass of wine right in the midst of the vineyards.

Combine a visit to the vineyard with a stroll through Laren or take a peek inside Huis Verwolde. Dating back to 1776, the house has been inhabited by a noble family for over two hundred years. Huis Verwolde takes you back in time, showcasing the lives of its former residents and how they lived.
