Summary created out of 227 reviews

De Pampel is a family campsite in the heart of the Veluwe, valued for its beautiful forested location and excellent facilities for children. Guests praise the enthusiastic animation team, the many playgrounds scattered across the site, and the swimming pool with slide. Staff are often experienced as friendly and helpful, and the pitches are spacious and varied (sun/shade). At the same time, there are significant complaints about the strict wristband policy, which many find intimidating and unfriendly. Sanitary facilities receive mixed reviews: some find them clean and well-maintained, others complain about inadequate cleaning, musty smells, and insufficient capacity. The pool water is considered too cold by many guests, and opening hours of the restaurant and shop are limited. The balance between a beautiful natural location and areas for improvement in hospitality and comfort defines the experience.

A really fun campground with lots of play areas, a great pool, and shaded campsites. There might have been a bit of a shortage of (hard-to-spot) staff at the restaurant at times, but that was only for a day or two. In short, a fun, neat, and clean campground with plenty of entertainment for the kids!

After spending 3 weeks at Camping de Pampel, I can point out quite a few noteworthy things.
The first thing that struck me was the price, but then again, it’s a 5-star campground, so you can expect the price to be a bit higher. However, I do expect that to be justified. Like a swimming pool that’s adequate for the number of people at the campground—and that’s not the case.

The pool is actually really small and fills up in no time because of “towel-savers.”
Then there are two restroom buildings. One is very outdated and the other is quite nice. But here too, De Pampel falls short for the number of people at the campground, resulting in lines for the showers.

    ● Wi-Fi: Extra charge and poor quality
    ● 10 amps at the campsite: extra charge. The standard is 6 amps, but that’s really not enough, so you’ll have to upgrade to 10 amps anyway

If you enjoy waiting in line, then you’re definitely in the right place, because you’ll be waiting to use the restroom and to do the dishes.
People also complain that people ride their scooters too fast, only to then see the owner/manager zooming by in a golf cart. I also noticed this when he was told to leave on time by my friendly neighbor across the way, because the next group was already checking in. The spot turned out to be vacant for 3 days. But anyway, the golf cart guy apparently just had to say it was almost time. Since he could, he gave them a little nudge to leave. Incomprehensible

The campsites are spacious and nice—as long as you’re not on a field. And if you post a good review, you get a free soft-serve ice cream! I think I’ll have to pay for one myself 😂

Maargoed golfkar man moest qua blijkelijk even zeggen dat het bijna tijd was. Omdat het kon, even opjagen voor vertrek. Onbegrijpelijk

This is a really great campground for kids!
Beautiful surroundings and plenty to do both at the campground and in the area. The restrooms are very clean. The campground has clear rules, which help keep it tidy.
