A really nice little campground with friendly staff and clean restrooms—we’ve been coming here for over 40 years, and it’s become our second home.

A great place for a weekend, a long vacation, and everything in between! This is the fourth time we’ve spent our summer vacation here. Once in the glamping tent and three times in a Scandinavian red cottage. Wonderful vacations! The accommodations are clean, spacious, and equipped with all the amenities. Our daughter had plenty of space to make … friends, go exploring, and run around to her heart’s content. A playground, arcade, animals, a soccer field, and—not to mention—the wonderful pool for all ages. For us, there’s a lovely terrace to enjoy during the day or in the evening with a drink and a light or hearty snack. The value for money—both at the campground and the restaurant—is excellent. The food is very tasty, of excellent quality, and the sour meat bitterballen were my personal favorite. If there’s ever anything you need, you can always ask the friendly and helpful staff, and their sense of humor is a perfect fit for our family. During the summer months, there were also great family activities throughout the week organized by the fantastic Sjarda. In short, for a wonderful vacation, weekend getaway, overnight stay, dinner out, party, and/or wedding, Mareveld is the place to be! P.S. The napkin has become a lovely keepsake in our kitchen. A wonderful campground. We had two fantastic weeks there with our two children, ages 6 and 11. The pool isn’t very big, but it’s wonderfully refreshing and perfectly adequate. The restrooms are fine, and the new playground is really great! Our kids had a blast playing there and even made new friends! There’s plenty to do in the area, and you can … get to Valkenburg in no time. Want to spend a day in Maastricht? I can't comment on the rooms because we stayed at the campground.

Spent a weekend there with my motorcycle. Friendly staff (I really don’t understand some of the reviews). The restrooms were fine and were cleaned regularly (a campground isn’t the Hilton, after all…). Plenty of opportunities for kids to play; the pool looked neat. There’s an outdoor terrace and a restaurant. We camped on a small field—it was just … fine. I’m giving it 4 stars because I can’t comment on the kids’ facilities, but everything looks neat and tidy. The restaurant is spacious and has a cozy atmosphere. It’s certainly geared toward meat-eaters, but there’s plenty of choice if you’re not a big eater. The only downside (for me personally): it doesn’t open until 10 a.m. for a cup of coffee. Of course, most guests are self-catering; we, as motorcyclists, aren’t, but we understand that. Beautiful surroundings with plenty to do—for cyclists, hikers, motorcyclists, or just for some peace and quiet.
