In Forest Lodge 4 you can retreat in peace and quiet in a small but nice accommodation. The detached chalet is on the ground floor and suitable for 4 persons. In the cosy living room you find a sitting area with television and French doors to the furnished terrace, a dining area and a kitchen with a 4-burner cooker, dishwasher and Nespresso Professional Machine (capsules for this are sold exclusively at the reception). Forest Lodge 4 has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and 1 with 2 single beds. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and sink. You have free Wi-Fi in the chalet and you can park 1 car there.

    Convenient location. Friendly service. We stayed there in a tent. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained.
    The on-site restaurant is also phenomenal. We had a delicious meal—the ribs are highly recommended.

    A nice park with friendly staff, but don’t expect any spectacular facilities. A simple indoor pool, one Italian restaurant where you can also pick up some fries and a few snacks (orders must be placed online only, and note: closed on Tuesdays!), and an unstaffed park shop (convenient in itself, but with a limited selection, and sandwiches are available for pickup only after ordering online in advance). So for “real” grocery shopping or dining out, you’ll likely need a car.

    The reason we chose this park was the little swimming beach. The kids loved it! Just bring a bucket, a shovel, and an inflatable ring, and they’ll keep themselves entertained. If you go early, be sure to bring a beach umbrella. There isn’t much shade from the trees at that time. As the day goes on, though, there’s more and more shade. That’s no luxury when it’s over 30 degrees.
    Also keep in mind the elevation changes in the park. That makes it a bit harder to keep an eye on the kids when they’re running around on their own. It does have its advantages, though: we were close to the amenities, but because our cottage was “up high,” it was nice and quiet.

    Een net park met vriendelijk personeel, maar verwacht geen spectaculaire faciliteiten. Eenvoudig binnen zwembad, 1 italiaans restaurant waar je ook wat friet en enkele snacks kunt afhalen (alleen online te bestellen en let op: dinsdags gesloten!), een onbemande parkshop (op zich handig, maar beperkt assortiment en broodjes alleen afhalen na vooraf online besteld te hebben). Voor 'echte' boodschappen of uiteten, ben je dus al gauw op de auto aangewezen.

    De reden waarom wij voor dit park gekozen hadden, was het zwemstrandje. De kinderen vonden dat geweldig! Emmer, schep en opblaasband mee en ze vermaken zich wel. Ga je al vroeg, neem dan een parasol mee. Er is dan nog niet veel schaduw van de bomen. Naarmate de dag vordert komt er wel steeds meer schaduw. Geen overbodige luxe als het 30+ graden is.
    Houdt ook rekening met hoogteverschillen op het park. Daardoor is het wat minder overzichtelijk om de kinderen 'los te laten'. Het heeft ook z'n voordelen: wij zaten dicht bij de voorzieningen, maar doordat ons huisje "hoog" zat was het lekker rustig.
