The park is very easy and quick to reach from the highway. It’s beautifully landscaped, and despite the close proximity of other structures, we felt a sense of privacy on our patio (off-season). We stayed in a Tiny House (4). It was quite nice and, given its size, very practically furnished. Unfortunately, it isn’t insulated at all, so the outside temperature becomes the (delayed) inside temperature. When we arrived, it was 40 degrees, so sleep was out of the question—there was no air conditioning, and there weren’t enough windows to open to let a breeze through. Especially at the top bunk right under the roof, the window wouldn’t open at all. The other windows could only be tilted open, but the French doors were large. Unfortunately, that’s not enough in this small, winding cottage when temperatures are high. Temperature drops from 35 degrees during the day to 19 degrees at night aren’t uncommon inside the house over the course of 24 hours. We still found it very pleasant during the milder temperatures on the following days (around 27 degrees).
The lake is beautifully landscaped, though quite small, so it had heated up quite a bit. The swimming pool is also small but excellent for swimming; here, too, the water was nice and warm.
The park itself is laid out in such a way that you can’t walk right through it—mostly dead ends. On the one hand, that’s good because strangers aren’t constantly walking through; on the other hand, you’re basically just moving from the house to the lake, to the swimming pool, to the entrance—so it’s not very spacious.
What bothered me was that the park map gives the impression that the lake in the back is part of the park and invites you to linger (even if not to swim). Unfortunately, it’s completely hidden and not really inviting—so it’s practically nonexistent. Stand-up paddleboarding on the small lake is also a bit disappointing; I just find the lake too small for that.
Overall, we had a lovely stay in an adventurous tiny house and spent plenty of time outdoors. It’s a really good starting point for excursions and, during the off-season, very quiet and relaxed.
We left at the start of the season, by which time it had noticeably filled up; you could hear the neighbors, and the facilities, of course, got very crowded very quickly.
If you’re looking for relaxation, you’ll be in good hands during the off-season. Those who prefer short walks and a compact layout—for example, families with small children—will also have a wonderful vacation here.this is a translation, click here for the original
