Get on your bike from the park
Rent a (electric) bike at Valk Bike or Cycle Center and ride into the hills of South Limburg. The region has hundreds of kilometers of signposted cycling routes past the most beautiful views, orchards and small villages. On an electric bike, you can easily tackle the steeper slopes too. Discover cycling routes through the forest with the quietest forest paths or take a route along the Meuse. Pick up the map, adjust the saddle and set off - that's all there is to it.

Taste wine at Wijndomein St. Martinus
In the South Limburg hilly landscape near Gronsveld lies Wijndomein St. Martinus, one of the larger wine producers in the region. You walk through the vineyards, hear how the grapes are grown on the chalk-rich soil, and finish with a tasting of white, rosé, and red wines. The combination of slope, sun, and chalky soil gives the wines a character of their own that you will hardly find anywhere else in the Netherlands. Anyone who still hasn't had enough after the tasting can take a bottle back to the park.
Discover the Burgundian Maastricht
At about half an hour’s cycling from Meerssen lies Maastricht, one of the most pleasant cities in the Netherlands. Stroll through atmospheric streets such as Rechtstraat, Stokstraat and Wycker Brugstraat, where boutiques, specialty shops and well-known stores alternate. Then take a seat on one of the many terraces at Vrijthof or Markt and enjoy a cup of coffee with a view of the imposing Sint-Servaas Basilica or the historic town hall. Lovers of good food can visit the many restaurants, bistros and cozy cafés that the city is rich in. Thanks to the compact city center, you can easily discover the main sights on foot. Maastricht is therefore the ideal destination for a relaxing day full of culture, shopping and Limburg hospitality.
Walking through hilly South Limburg
South Limburg is a paradise for hikers, with an extensive network of routes through rolling hills, hollow roads, chestnut forests and vast plateaus. From Meerssen you can walk straight into a landscape that feels more like the Eifel than the Netherlands. Through Visit Zuid-Limburg you can find routes for every level, from short walks through picturesque villages to challenging day trips. Along the way you are rewarded with beautiful views, half-timbered houses and atmospheric terraces where you can rest for a while. Thanks to the differences in elevation, every walk feels different. Put on sturdy walking shoes and bring enough water, because the Limburg hills sometimes demand just a little more effort than you would expect at first glance.

Do not go here if you are looking for a moment of rest or peace and quiet. This park is marketed to be “luxury, small scale, and relaxing”. This could not be further from the truth.
Would you prefer to be next to a main road and hear cars passing constantly ? Or do you prefer the rushing sound of a train 3-5 times per hour going past your … bedroom? Look no further, this place has both! The mention of the train tracks is hidden behind the FAQ and not properly communicated , so that they can say “we mention it on the website” without risking that people avoid it because of this issue.
Furthermore, if you value privacy. Don’t expect to find that here, for only 238 euros a night you can have your neighbor stare directly into your house from their hot tub, as well as the park being extremely cramped, with houses being only a few meters from each other. I guess more houses= more profit.
If you bring up the noise to customer service, an AI will tell you to put music on to drown out the train. You will then be connected to a human, who will tell you “we don’t get complaints about the noise,”. Which is false. I read multiple reviews saying that they should place ear plugs in the rooms. When you mention this, don’t expect an answer or any other form of communication or assistance, you will be ignored.
This park was soulless, cramped, and loud. Further exaggerated by the store which is also self service. A very impersonal touch.
This review started at 4 stars as on first arrival we were happy, as the room was SPOTLESS. The rose tinted glasses came off fast, as we realized very quickly that we had wasted our money on a commercialized park disguising itself as a relaxing, peaceful vacation destination. -

We stayed at a glamping lodge for two nights—it was a great experience. The lodge is equipped with everything you need, cozy, and very nicely decorated...We’d read online beforehand that the lodge is located on a busy road and is very noisy—yes, that was the only thing that was a bit bothersome, but we were able to tune it out after a few hours. I’d book it again—maybe a tiny house this time; those are great too ☀️
