You stay among the forests of the Brabant Kempen in modern bungalows or chalets, with plenty of space around you. Children can have fun in the heated outdoor pool, the playgrounds and on the air trampoline, while you relax with a drink on the terrace of the forest café. There are also convenient facilities such as a kiosk, laundromat, table tennis table, charging points, reception and bike rental with e-bikes. From the park, you can walk or cycle straight into the forests.

Molenvelden Holiday Park is ideally located for fun outings with children. Spend the day at the Efteling, which is 35 kilometers from the campsite. Dierenrijk is also nearby, about 16 kilometers from the park. Here you can walk among the animals and there are several playgrounds and activities for children. For younger children, amusement park De Splinter is a nice place, with large outdoor playgrounds, water and plenty of space to play. Those who prefer something active can visit Klimrijk Brabant or choose canoeing and outdoor activities at Rofra. Because everything is relatively close by, you can easily combine an active morning with a peaceful afternoon back at the park or in nature around Molenvelden.

Vakantiepark Molenvelden is situated in a beautiful, peaceful location by the water, which guests particularly appreciate. Staff are regularly described as friendly and helpful, and the restaurant with terrace receives compliments for its atmosphere and dishes. The swimming pool and playground contribute to an enjoyable holiday experience. However, there are areas for improvement: communication regarding deposits and additional costs could be better, the swimming pool was temporarily closed due to construction work, and maintenance of accommodations is sometimes lacking.

    The park definitely has potential. The cottages are nicely decorated, fully equipped, and offer a beautiful view. Unfortunately, there were some minor and major setbacks during our stay that made the overall experience less than ideal.

    The cottage had a few issues: the bedroom door wouldn’t close because the bed was positioned incorrectly, several doors didn’t lock properly, the oven knob was broken, door handles were loose, the curtains weren’t secured properly, and there were no hooks for towels in the bathroom or kitchen. There were also tools and building materials left in the shed. We reported these issues immediately to the front desk, but no one came by during our stay.

    We had specifically booked this cottage because of the air conditioning. Unfortunately, there was only one air conditioner in the hallway and none in the bedrooms, even though that’s exactly where you need it. This is useful information to include on the website. There were no curtains on the large windows by the front door, so we couldn’t darken the cottage, even though we slept with the bedroom doors open to let the air conditioning in.

    We had called in advance about the construction work at the park and were told that everything would be finished by the time of our stay. In reality, our cottage was right next to a construction site, and there was still plenty of activity going on, with workers walking through our yard. That was very disappointing, because we were specifically looking for peace and quiet.

    Our pool pass suddenly stopped working, so in 35 degrees, we first had to wait a long time at the front desk before we could get into the pool. The trash pass also didn’t work.

    The restaurant was inconsistent. Despite there being empty tables, we couldn’t get a seat on the patio, and during another visit, dishes were already sold out by around 5:00 p.m. A healthier kids’ menu would be welcome for young children.

    Finally, on hot days, the outdoor pool was surprisingly warm, so it offered little relief from the heat.

    All in all, a park with nice cottages, but due to the many shortcomings, the construction work, and the poor handling of issues, we found the value for money to be disappointing.

    Het park heeft zeker potentie. De huisjes zijn mooi ingericht, compleet en hebben een mooi uitzicht. Helaas waren er tijdens ons verblijf kleine en grotere tegenvallers dat het totaalplaatje tegenviel.

    Het huisje had wat gebreken: de slaapkamerdeur kon niet dicht doordat het bed verkeerd stond, meerdere deuren sloten slecht, de ovenknop was kapot, deurklinken zaten los, gordijnen zaten niet goed vast en er waren geen haakjes voor handdoeken in de badkamer of keuken. Ook lag er nog gereedschap en bouwmateriaal in de schuur. We hebben deze punten direct bij de receptie gemeld, maar tijdens ons verblijf is niemand langsgekomen.

    We hadden dit huisje specifiek geboekt vanwege de airco. Helaas bleek er maar één airco in de gang te zitten en niet in de slaapkamers, terwijl dat juist de plek is waar je hem nodig hebt. Dit is wel handige informatie om de melden op de website. Er hingen niks van gordijnen bij de grote ramen bij de voordeur waardoor je het huisje niet donker kon maken, terwijl we juist met de slaapkamerdeuren open sliepen voor de airco.

    Vooraf hadden we gebeld over de werkzaamheden op het park en kregen we te horen dat alles klaar zou zijn vanwege de bouwvak. In werkelijkheid stond ons huisje direct naast een bouwplaats en was er nog volop activiteit en liepen er werkmannen in onze tuin. Dat was erg teleurstellend, omdat we juist de rust zochten.

    Ons zwembadpasje werkte ineens niet meer, waardoor we met 35 graden eerst lang bij de receptie lang moesten wachten voordat we het zwembad in konden. De vuilnispas werkte eveneens niet.

    Het restaurant was wisselend. We konden ondanks vrije tafels geen plek krijgen op het terras en tijdens een ander bezoek waren rond 17.00 uur al gerechten uitverkocht. Voor jonge kinderen zou een gezonder kindermenu welkom zijn.

    Tot slot was het buitenzwembad op warme dagen verrassend warm, waardoor het nauwelijks verkoeling bood.

    Al met al een park met mooie huisjes, maar door de vele mankementen, de bouwactiviteiten en de matige afhandeling van problemen vonden wij de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding tegenvallen.

    There's no bike rental because of the festival next door, and it's not mentioned anywhere online. One of the reasons I booked this place was because it was convenient to rent bikes.
