This park is beautifully located by the water with its own marina, ideal for anglers and water sports enthusiasts, but faces considerable challenges. The location directly next to the A16 motorway causes constant traffic noise that many guests find disturbing. Guests appreciate the friendly staff at reception and the central location for trips to Dordrecht and Rotterdam. However, cleanliness and maintenance fall seriously short: many chalets are dirty upon arrival, with dust, mould, dirty dishes and poorly functioning appliances. The facilities provision is disappointing, with the restaurant, snack bar and shop regularly closed, even during high season. The swimming pool is described as small and insufficiently clean, and the play facilities are outdated and poorly maintained.

We’re staying in Pavilion 4. It’s right in the center, so everything is within easy reach. We have a great view of the small harbor. It’s quiet (except when the AC is running 😅). There’s a small electric fireplace and everything else you need. There’s also a small roll of toilet paper at the front desk, as well as a dishwasher cleaning tablet. I recommend either bringing your own towels or booking them right away. Everyone is very friendly. No one here speaks German yet, but even with just a little basic English, you’ll get by just fine. There are plenty of things to do. You won’t get bored. But we’re just getting started.

We booked a weekend stay for August 14–16 with four people and two dogs.
Unfortunately, the person who made the reservation had forgotten her passport or driver’s license.
We were asked for it at check-in.
Well, we saw this coming.
The woman at the front desk told us we couldn’t check in and had to go home to get the ID.
That’s a 3-hour round-trip drive. We found it quite surprising that this was the best advice she could offer.
The woman at the front desk wouldn’t budge and refused to help us any further.
Even a copy of the passport on our phone wasn’t acceptable.
We asked why we had to show it. The answer was that otherwise fraud could be committed, and if a fire broke out, they’d know who was in the cottage. We, as fellow guests, didn’t have to show anything. That’s quite strange—doesn’t our name matter in the event of a fire?!
In short, it was a very unfriendly and stiff customer service experience, and we were sent home.
Unfortunately, the weekend didn’t turn out as we expected; we had also rented a boat for the weekend, and we hope to be able to cancel that as well.
All in all, yes, we should have brought our ID, but the customer experience was very poor—even the security guard adopted a very domineering attitude that frightened me.
EuroParcs… learn how to treat customers and be flexible sometimes; don’t always stick to the rules. According to Airbnb, a copy was more than enough.
Will we ever go back there?
We’re waiting for an apology from EuroParcs.this is a translation, click here for the original
Tja , we voelden m aankomen.

Short summary: Feel free to skip this park on your vacation. As far as we’re concerned, even one star is too many.
After a long trip, we arrived around 8:15 p.m. with two small children. We wanted to quickly pick up the key and put the kids to bed. Before we had even properly stepped inside, a security guard rode up on a bike and asked for ID. The person who made the reservation had forgotten it in all the rush. Not ideal, but it can happen.
When we explained this, we were immediately threatened with being asked to leave the park, or else the police would be called. We managed to reach someone else by phone, but there was little sign of customer-friendliness or willingness to work with us there either. Not a single email we received beforehand explicitly stated that we were required to bring identification upon arrival. Interestingly, the terms and conditions state that in the event of a late check-in, you must present identification at the front desk by 12:00 p.m. the following day.
Since we would otherwise have lost our entire €550, we drove home to retrieve the identification and then drove back: about three extra hours of driving with two young children.
We decided to put the incident behind us and still enjoy a few days away. Unfortunately, that’s when the real disappointment began.
The chalet was extremely dirty and appeared not to have been properly cleaned in a long time. After just a few minutes of crawling, our 10-month-old baby’s onesie was completely black. There was dust and dirt in virtually every corner, clouds of dust under the beds, and the shower and toilet were downright filthy. There were food scraps in the kitchen, the dishes weren’t clean, ants were crawling around, and there were still dirty residues from previous guests on the walls. The couch was also covered in stains. The beds—and especially the pillows—were of very poor quality.
Outside, too, everything looked neglected. Many of the chalets belonging to permanent residents appear poorly maintained, giving the entire park a dreary feel. The constant noise from the highway doesn’t help matters.
Unfortunately, the facilities didn’t make things any better. The indoor play area is musty and uninviting. The indoor pool is fine on its own, but it, too, lacked proper cleaning. On our first day, there was an empty drink carton in the play area; on our last day, it was still there. The pool could also clearly use a makeover.
The “park shop” is nothing to write home about. The website mentions fresh rolls, but in reality, they’re pre-baked rolls in plastic packaging. The opening hours are limited, and the nearest supermarket is about a 15-minute drive away. The outdoor pool has few lounge chairs and shaded areas, and there’s no play structure.
Are there any positives? Yes. The playgrounds are fine, and the bouncy castle is fun for kids. We also had dinner at the restaurant one evening: the menu is simple, but the food was fine. However, the patio isn’t smoke-free, and because the doors are open, the smoke drifts into the restaurant as well.
Another evening, we picked up some fries. Part of the order turned out to be missing. There’s no phone number for the restaurant anywhere, so we called the front desk/customer service. They couldn’t do anything because, as they said, they didn’t have the restaurant’s number either.
Finally, the high chair we’d reserved disappeared from the terrace that evening. We reported this to the front desk, and they said they’d make a note of it. However, when we checked out, they hadn’t been informed, and we still haven’t received a response to our emails.
For us, this was definitely not a relaxing vacation. In particular, the combination of the unfriendly welcome, poor hygiene, overdue maintenance, and the way complaints are handled means that we cannot recommend this resort.this is a translation, click here for the original

We’re not happy with our stay here. The house wasn’t completely clean, there wasn’t enough bedding or cutlery, and it was sweltering. We could have rented an extra air conditioner separately, but… without it, staying here wasn’t an option. Furthermore, the cottage was poorly maintained, the beds are really uncomfortable, you can’t open the window in one of the rooms, and the sliding doors wouldn’t open. Also, the pool doesn’t open until 11:00 a.m., and it’s difficult to even get into the park in the evening. In short, not recommended.
