Somewhat narrow campsite and unkempt, staff always friendly

Stayed here 3 nights while visiting Sarlat. I was put off by some of the poor reviews but glad that I did not cancel. This is a typical 'rustic' French Campsite and is tiered so if you want manicured lawns and rectangle pitches this site is definitely not for you. Facilities were good, everything worked and they were spotlessly clean and the showers hot - what more do you want? As for being difficult to navigate, yes it is tiered and a little tight in places but if I can get my 8 metre van to the very top tier then so can you. If you cant then sell your motorhome and have a static! Did not use the pool but the food that we had was good and the night time vibe and bar very friendly. 15 minute walk to Sarlat admittedly uphill on the way back but unless you have real difficulties then it was fine. I have no issue recommending.

Have been at Duinhoeve for three years in a row and again it was a nice experience, we had a great time especially cycling through the beautiful surroundings.

We spent two nights in the well-equipped Trappeur tent. The peace and quiet and the change of scenery were perfect. We also ordered a plank and pizzas: great value for money. Many thanks to Alex for his warm welcome! We highly recommend the Huttopia chain.

If you want to travel cheaply, you are in good hands here on the campsite, otherwise it was very lonely here, we are in August on about 16000 square meters, camping 2 and there are no less than 14 people here. Many caravans are deserted and not very well maintained. Electricity easily accessible at the back of the pitches. Fresh water distributed on the site, if you want to connect a hose, you should take an adapter with you. Gray water disposal under the fresh water in the meadow, not very tasty. Restaurant, snack bar already very outdated. There are hundreds of cigarette butts on the playground, thanks to the parents🤔 Sanitary building very clean, 6 sinks inside, showers with tokens, toilet paper must be brought along, washing machine and dryer work very well. There is also a chemical toilet. Camping 2 is planted almost everywhere with trees, chestnuts, acorns and walnuts, lots of shade and the nuts bang on the roof. Reception very friendly and helpful. Bread rolls can be ordered and must be collected from the snack bar, where you can also get typical Dutch snacks. Scherpenhof is generally getting on in years, many occupied pitches are very unkempt.

Close to the sea, beautiful beach, very well maintained sanitary facilities, unfortunately no washing machines. High price.

Well-equipped campsite with different types of accommodation

We stayed at this campsite four days from 08/08 to 12/08/25. What to say! Professional and courteous welcome from the owner Angela Rosa who goes out of her way to accommodate the campers in the best way and gives all the necessary information for an optimal stay. Camping in nature with spacious pitches electric callaccio .Nice pool area ( never too crowded) to relax on hot days especially if you return from some excursions. Bar and restaurant with good service and tasty pizza. Showers and toilets always clean. Excellent value for money. We recommend visit village of Narni with view to Narni underground. Great experience. If we return to the area we will gladly return to Camping Monti del sole. Thanks again to Angela Rosa and all the staff for the courtesy and professionalism.
