Great campsite, beautifully laid out, clean and friendly

The children had a wonderful time at Euro Parc Zuiderzee. We thought the price-performance ratio was fine, and we really liked the location and the various options in the park itself. The only drawback for us was the cleanliness. What a pity. We traveled with 4 groups, we had three houses right next to each other and none of them were clean. Spider webs, dead insects, stained bed linen, dust or heavy signs of use on the furniture or marks and scratches on the TV - all of this is in stark contrast to the otherwise modern and really pretty accommodation. Personally, I would also like to see a little more uniformity in the furnishings. One house had an induction stove, another a gas stove. Two houses had an oven, ours only had a microwave. On the other hand, we had most of the cooking equipment - even a juicer. Our mattresses were all new, comfortable and clean, but the light bulbs in the nightlights were blown, cupboard doors didn't open properly, the electric fireplace in my mother's house didn't fit the dimensions of the niche provided and therefore stuck out halfway, tiles were only half grouted .... Great ideas seem to be available, it's the implementation that's obviously lacking. We had a broken & rusty clothes horse, my siblings didn't have one at all, my mother and grandpa had an intact plastic one. All the cleaning utensils were very worn, there was no mop, one house had washing-up liquid and tabs for the dishwasher, two did not. The floors in all our houses had definitely not seen a mop for some time. We found out that there is a Dinopark in Zwolle when we made the beds - we found flyers from previous tenants under the bed, as well as a used handkerchief. Other visitors rightly questioned the costly final cleaning. The complex itself is well-kept, the hedges had been pruned in spring, the lawn was mowed... the first impression was dampened considerably when we moved into the houses. The swimming pool urgently (!!!) needed to be renovated. It was cold and my daughter cut herself on the bottom of the pool. I also found the food on offer to be very one-sided and more suitable for fast food than really tasty; you are offered everything for a quick snack - if you are looking for healthier alternatives, you inevitably have to cater for yourself. Food trucks would be a great idea or more variety in the restaurants. The indoor playground was great for the cooler days, but here too the cleanliness clearly left a lot to be desired. Some of the dust bunnies were as big as the palm of our toddler's hand. You have to take your shoes off, but socks are not compulsory. And so the sweaty mice romp around barefoot - the mats are sometimes really slippery. The staff were great, always friendly and helpful, well looked after. We were able to communicate in both German and English. In conclusion, I also have the impression that money is being saved at the wrong end - although they were always willing to remedy the shortcomings if possible.

We could easily switch to a cottage with jaccuzie. Very nice help at the reception. The cottage was not really clean unfortunately. This was really done with the French stroke.

Great site- it is huuuge! The pitches are big enough and each field of pitches has its own small toilet unit (2 toilets) and washing up point (3 sinks). There are play areas dotted around the site and large shower/toilet/washing up blocks around the site. The shop is big enough and stocks essentials and a few bits you wouldn't expect. There is a supermarket nearby though too. There are loads of cycling trails out of the back of the site and getting around locally by bike is great. Nice place to base for hopping around or just to chill out for a few days! Facilities are clean and well maintained. It rained a bit when we were here and the camping fields drain well.

We were in a camper van, beautiful view of the lake, showers, toilets, and very clean outside, very good welcome.

If you want to be very quiet, this is the right place to relax. We had a house with a hot tub and you could heat it up really warm. Great for cold days. If you want to do activities other than cycling and hiking, you have to drive a bit.

My son doesn't want to vacation anywhere else. Everything was top notch!

Rooms too small we can barely go around the bed, however super location and super terrace and jacuzzi that happiness location 212 thank you we will return

Bit disappointing, turned up a day after site opens and only a 1/4 of facilities open. No entertainment on for kiddies. Main pool not even filled up!

Disappointing experience despite beautiful surroundings The first impression was promising: the surroundings are idyllic, there are lots of animals and the atmosphere is welcoming. We had booked two riding lessons as well as a session of pony leading and grooming for our children and paid in advance. Unfortunately, the organization on site was disappointing. Our children were allowed to ride the ponies for a maximum of 1 hour on the second day before the ponies were taken by another parent to allow his own children to ride them - despite our existing booking. The ponies were actually booked for the whole day. The staff member responsible, Mirjam, was out riding with other guests during this time, so we had no opportunity to get support or clarify the situation. The problem repeated itself the following day: the same person claimed the horses again, which meant that our children were again excluded from the riding lesson. This lesson had also already been paid for. Due to these repeated incidents and the lack of supervision, we decided to leave a day early. We hope that in future the campsite will place more emphasis on reliable organization and adherence to bookings in order to ensure a positive experience for all guests.
