Sad to say that huttopia let us down this time round. This site is not like the ones we have visted in France. Checked out a day early! Not cheap either, at 1100 euros for 5 nights I expected better.

Pitches are nice and big, staff nice. Campsite is quiet, pool area well implemented. Unfortunately, the site is not really well maintained. The sanitary blocks are absolutely filthy. There is no toilet lid, toilet paper or even a toilet seat. You just sit on the porcelain of the bowl. No go! We would not come back due to the lack of hygiene. It has little to do with 4 star camping, which is a shame because the potential is definitely there.

We stayed in a tent for 2 nights. We asked for a 3rd night without any problem. A little disappointing for a "premium" location. Rooms are OK, but no air-conditioning despite the heat during the day. Cleaning not quite right, and some equipment worn out. The exteriors are nice, but we're in an area with protected wildlife. As a result, a lot of bird droppings on the water's edge. Beautiful sunset. For the price, we expect a little more.

Last Monday we arrived for two weeks of vacation. With car and trailer first park in a very tight parking lot to then pick up your barrier pass at the reception for €10 deposit, which is not even right at the front of the campsite but somewhere in the middle of the grounds. Shower tokens cost €0.75 with which you can shower for 6 minutes. Far too short to wash our daughters' long, thick hair. To get to your pitch on fish island you have to brave a narrow, unpaved path with mega potholes. Pitch is very spacious and nice view over the IJssel or the lake. Power points are far away, so you need at least 30m cable. The water taps are very rickety, no possibility to watch TV unless you have digital TV. No wifi on the pitches. Through another unpaved path, which is life-threatening after dark because the slopes are very deep on both sides and this is not cordoned off. There is a small toilet block with two ladies and two men's toilets, with no toilet paper and no hand soap. This cubicle is very dirty, I think it is barely cleaned. The shower building is even further away from fish island. This also did not look very groomed. For younger children up to 12 years there is a nice entertainment program. After that it stops far. Swimming pool is okay, but it should not be called subtropical. Playground and outdoor pool are also okay. In the recreational lake is a loose slide, also not very safe for children. Indoor playground you have to pay for as a camping guest, the convenience store is too sad for words, there is a sandwich service ... you can choose from a white pistolet, a kaiser roll or croissant. So not much choice. Restaurant the stone oven passed on Facebook is a dilapidated building, which is no longer in use. The catering also does not offer much choice and the place does not invite you to sit on the terrace, unless you like a wall as a view. We are trying to hold out for a while, but fear we will not last the 14 days. Very unfortunate, because there is really something beautiful to make if they want to renew.

I am here for a few days in a rented safari tent. Lovely place.

Camping huttopia is a fine campsite in many ways. Location is super. Located directly on a fine beach. In addition, the sanitary facilities are of a good level. Ample & well kept clean. Also at the reception and the bread service every time well served. So why not 5 stars? The pitches & the road structure. Quite a few spots (including ours) are really way too small and campers and cars with caravans were sent into paths they could hardly get out of. Also very little shade in many spots.

À short visit but amazing location and facilities. The staff are sooooooo helpful and patient given the rudeness of some customers who we saw them deal with. The young couple managers appeared to be everywhere. We were at the pool and they were dealing with something. We visited the restaurant and Mitch I think was his name, was sorting out an issue with the coffee machine. Then off to another guest issue. So hard working. His partner Anna I seem to recall was so polite. I think she was Spanish but she spoke perfect English and French. We had a small issue with our reservation but she was superb and sorted out the administrative error very quickly. So impressed with them both. The fresh pizzas are amazing, not the cheapest you'll buy but the quality of the ingredients is quite easy to taste. As an ex hôtelier I have a pretty good idea of what's involved in the hospitality industry and I hope that this team and especially the managers Mitch and Anna (I hope the names are correct) are acknowledged by the owners of the campsite. I can't recommend this camp site more than saying that I wish I could give more than 5*.

Arrived today July 30, 2025, first impression was good. Neat accommodations, and tidy environment. Store has a very limited selection. The restaurant was 😥😥😥.

Beautiful location but we were not happy there. Small sites so you are very close to the neighbors and their noises. Plumbing -especially the building upstairs- is to cry about. Reported several times but nothing was done. In my opinion it is not sufficient for the number of places. It was full and within no time the toilet paper was out and everything was dirty and smelly. At least 1.5 days a clogged pot full.... And not even a bill on the relevant door. 5 days of cold showers... Heated pool was nice, playing fields were fun. Adjacent forest was top for dog walks. Animate was moderate.

Super cozy campsite with a huge playground for the kids! The prices in the kiosk are affordable - the restaurant is really nice, but I think it's just crazy enough to pay 50-60 kroner for a small tray of round fries :)
