Camping Mareveld is beautifully situated and has spacious sites. It has a small swimming pool and a nice playground. A campground with potential. Unfortunately, the restrooms are very outdated; the showerheads are covered in limescale, which could be addressed, and cleaning them would also help. Hygiene isn’t a top priority at this campground. The welcome was also far from friendly.

The campground is ideally located and quiet, and the restrooms are very clean.
However, stay away! The welcome was cold, and the campground owner was aggressive. To top it all off, we made the mistake of posting a negative review before finishing our stay, so the owners blocked our access pass, preventing us from driving out of the campground—forcing us to go see them just so they could confront us! In all my years of camping, I’ve never seen anything like this! It’s a disgrace!!
Furthermore, we booked our stay through camping.com, but the information was incorrect—wrong check-in and check-out times were listed, and the reception hours were incorrect (even though all of this was indicated on the printable reservation voucher).
Finally, the campground advertises access to the Vézère River—the path does indeed exist— but once you reach the end, there’s only a small, poorly maintained staircase leading down a steep slope where, if you wish, you can dip your foot in the mud and algae; it’s impossible to sit by the water’s edge or go swimming.

Quality, relaxation, and a warm, professional atmosphere in a modern, convenient, and comfortable setting surrounded by nature and just a short walk from the lake!

Starting point for several hiking trails, including the "Millenary Oaks" trail, which is a leisurely walk, and the "Dolmens" trail, which offers two options: the short route (11 km) and the long route (15 km), with most of the trail shaded.

I stayed at the Trasimeno Glamping Resort for 9 nights.
A unique experience.

For the first two days, we stayed in the Air Lodge 2.0, a very beautiful accommodation that largely evokes a “camping” style and was also a lot of fun for my daughters.
However, on the second night we had a problem with bugs (it was around 11:00 PM), so we promptly called the front desk, which found us another place to stay for the night in less than an hour—one that was even better than the previous one.

As a result, since my wife didn’t feel comfortable returning to the previous accommodation, we stayed in the “upgrade” they gave us for one night for the entire duration of our stay, at no additional cost.

The point, however, is something else: Carolina in particular, and indeed the entire glamping staff—including the night watchman—addressed and resolved a major problem for my family in the middle of the night, in less than an hour, without asking any questions, but simply by genuinely caring about us and doing everything in their power to help us.

They were truly amazing.
Bugs or no bugs, I’ll definitely be back.
Certainly for the beauty of the place, the incredible pool, and the “recreation area,” but above all for the kindness and professionalism of the staff.

Thank you so much to everyone—you turned a problem into a highlight of our vacation.

Cottages get very hot in the summer!!

A lovely, quiet campground. We stayed there for one night while passing through. We received a warm welcome. The restrooms were excellent. There’s also an outdoor kitchen with a stovetop and cooking equipment. Ideal if you’re traveling by bike. They offer a bread delivery service and a few small items in the shop near the front desk. I also saw a pizza delivery service but didn’t use it, so I’m not sure if it’s available every day. Check their website or give them a call.

Quiet, shaded, warm welcome, a cool night despite the heat wave. A pretty village and a very pleasant walk along the Lot River.

The view is splendid
The place is very clean, the dishes look brand new... it has everything you need... even a dishwasher! It’s simple, and we don’t ask for anything more… except maybe a lounge chair on the terrace to take a little nap in the shade.
I read somewhere a request for a small welcome kit with a washcloth…etc.—a bit like Center Parcs—which isn’t bad at all.
The staff is charming and truly lovely, whether it’s the entertainment team, the front desk, the restaurant, or even the housekeeping crew… everyone is kind, thoughtful, and smiling. Please don’t change a thing...

The restaurant really came through for us... the food is very good and the portions are generous...though maybe a little less onion in the mussels😗.
The little beach with its lounge chairs really came in handy during our bouts of extreme laziness...
