(samenwerking is gestopt met Villatent) Camping de PapillonWe had a great weekend at the camp in the low season. However, I cannot recommend the tent to people who are sensitive to noise, as it is extremely loud, even after midnight. Nobody keeps to the quiet times. It is also very cold in the low season and the heating in the tent is not particularly efficient (of course). Otherwise, the tents are really well done and everything is available, as good as new and very clean. Everyone who works there is very hard-working and very helpful, whatever the question, the whole camp is very clean and there is a children's entertainment program which the children really enjoyed. There are lots of small playgrounds everywhere, so the children always find something to play, slide and swing on.

Wir hatten ein tolles Wochenende im Camp in der Nebensaison. Lärmempfindlichen Leuten kann ich allerdings das Zelt nicht empfehlen, da es extrem laut ist, auch noch nach Mitternacht. An die Ruhezeiten hält sich niemand. Außerdem ist es sehr kalt in der Nebensaison, die Heizung ist im Zelt nicht sonderlich effizient (ist ja auch klar). Die Zelte sind ansonsten wirklich toll gemacht und es ist alles vorhanden, neuwertig und sehr sauber. Alle die dort arbeiten sind sehr bemüht und sehr hilfsbereit, bei egal welcher Frage, das ganze Camp ist sehr sauber und es gibt ein Kinderanimationsprogramm, welches den Kindern gut gefallen hat. Es sind überall viele kleine Spielplätze, sodass die Kinder immer überall etwas zum spielen, rutschen und schaukeln finden.

Camping Valkenburg - MaastrichtBeautifully located campground (30 min walk heart of Valkenburg, 10 min bike ride). Clean sanitary facilities, bike rental and small bar. In low season in the weekend a pizza cart. Good, large camper spots. All very dark though, so a flashlight is handy. Good wifi also. Price actually not wrong at all. Post season you're 30 euros pn for a camper lost. Bad points: very unclear all when what all is open and even then they do not stick to it. On Saturday evening bar open until 22 hours, at 2115 light already off. On Sunday pedestrian gate to valkenburg in 1x closed during the day (why really? just keep that thing open 24/7, people can walk inside anyway) You are very close to the highway. If the wind is a bit wrong you hear continuous noise. Plumbing is good and clean, but all showers have, say, a head that sprays from above with a reasonably soft jet. Not ideal for washing your hair. Also, later in the day the hot water runs out quickly.

Mooi gelegen camping (30 minuten lopen hartje Valkenburg, 10 min fietsen). Schoon sanitair, fietsverhuur en kleine bar. In naseizoen in het weekend een pizza kar. Goede, grote camperplekken. Wel allemaal erg donker, dus een zaklamp is handig. Goede wifi ook. Prijstechnisch eigenlijk helemaal niet verkeerd. Naseizoen ben je 30 euro pn voor een camper kwijt. Slechte punten: erg onduidelijk allemaal wanneer wat allemaal open is en zelfs dan houden ze zich er niet aan. Op zaterdag avond bar open tot 22 uur, om 2115 licht al uit. Op zondag voetgangers poortje naar valkenburg in 1x dicht overdag (waarom eigenlijk? hou dat ding gewoon 24/7 open, mensen kunnen sowieso naar binnen toe lopen) Je zit heel dicht tegen de snelweg. Als de wind wat verkeerd staat hoor je continu geruis. Sanitair is goed en schoon, maar alle douches hebben zeg maar een kop die vanaf bovenaf sproeit met een redelijke zachte straal. Niet ideaal om je haren te wassen. Ook is later op de dag het warme water wel snel op.

Camping De l'OlivigneFine campground, nice and quiet location with a variety of pitches (certainly accessible to very large RV or caravan. Friendly reception, reception did close at noon. The sanitary facilities are new with nice shower cubicles (lovely hot water, push buttons). There is also a nice swimming pool, petanque field and a food truck regularly comes and parks in front of a covered terrace. You can make beautiful bike rides from here, e.g. to the Canal du midi and nice walks (e.g. starting from the village of Minerve. A campsite to visit for sure (call first if there is still a free spot).

Prima camping, mooi en rustig gelegen met een variatie aan staanplaatsen (zeker toegankelijk voor erg grote campers of caravan. Vriendelijke ontvangst, receptie wel gesloten tussen de middag. Het sanitair is nieuw met knappe douchecabines (heerlijk warm water, drukknoppen). Er is ook een mooi zwembad, petanque veld en er komt regelmatig een food truck die zich parkeert voor een overdekt terras. Je kan van hieruit mooie fietstochten maken, vb naar het Canal du midi en toffe wandelingen (vb vertrekkend uit het dorpje Minerve. Een camping om zeker te bezoeken (bel wel eerst of er nog een plekje vrij is)
