5 star camping FILANTES !!! I booked a week in August 2024 for a cosy 6-person mobile home via the Vacances Campings booking platform. What a surprise to discover our 24m² Mobilhome Cozy! All the equipment is low-cost and certainly not in keeping with the 5-star rating. The density between the Mobilhomes due to the 5000 occupants was so high that it's unspeakable. And all for the modest sum of 2519€. It was impossible for us to stay in what I call "a rat trap", while keeping this rental. 1 day before our theoretical departure, we decided to return the rented sheets, towels and keys to this bungalow, and then we got another big surprise. Our bungalow was open, with the welcome gift on the table, but all our personal belongings left on the table had disappeared. Reception simply told us they'd thrown them away. A word of advice: move on!!!

Pitch size was good, but overall the facilities on pitch were poor. Washing machines should be in a separate room. Better food outlets. Overpriced camping. Ed. Response to the owner, I clearly stated that the pitch was a good size, but the drainage connection was underneath a heavy stone slab and yes there was water and electricity but a more modern terminal for all services would have been better for older users. The point made regarding the washing machines is very simple, the machines are in a room with hot water cylinders which means you have to lock them up for safety sake, if they were moved away into another area or room there would be no need to lock them up. I've not seen washing machines or dryers locked up in 25 years of camping. In fact a municipal site we visited has the same machines with an honesty box with a charge of only 2€. The comments made should be viewed as constructive criticism, as most would see these items as obvious issues that can be rectified quite easily, but as with other slightly negative reviews here the owner is immediately on the defensive instead of responding with "we appreciate your comment and will aim to make improvements".

Superb experience, great setting in nature and very quiet in the off-season!

My grandfather and grandmother used to camp here, there was often bullying with physical violence and if you went to the campsite management nothing happened. The staff in the restaurant was often very mean to both children and parents. I once went to visit my grandfather and had a backpack with extra clothes because I was going to stay overnight. Upon arrival, I was immediately accosted by the owner of the campground who asked in an intimidating manner what I had come to do. I explained that I came to stay with my grandfather and that I was planning to come swimming as well. The owner immediately became angry and banned me from the campground just because I wanted to swim while staying with my grandfather. p.s I have seen rain puddles with more water than the pool here.

Great camping experience! Mobile homes could be even better equipped. Wifi for a fee of 3 euros a day no longer up to date and totally overpriced!

Dog fee of 5€ daily, they argue that all campsites in the Netherlands take it, but they offer ZERO services for dogs/dog owners, there are no poop bag dispensers, no free run areas for dogs or e.g. dog bath tubs at some medical stores like on other campsites. A mini swimming area (3 meters wide) for dogs marked on the site map has a sign that dogs are not allowed there.

Want peace and luxury in a green setting? Stop searching, Soof is the place to go! The lodges are luxurious, spacious and equipped with all amenities. The hot tub completes it all. We stayed with our children aged 5 and 8. They had a great time in and around the cottage and in the playground. A visit to Veenendaal, Rhenen and of course the surrounding nature is definitely recommended. We will definitely come back!
