Family chalet
Kampeerdorp de ZandstuveWe had a super nice stay with you! We had a fantastic chalet with a beautiful veranda which we used a lot with the nice weather. The facilities at the park are very good! Especially the ice creams 😍 but also definitely the pool. The atmosphere was also very good. We felt very much at home 😊

We hebben een superleuk verblijf bij jullie gehad! We hadden een fantastisch chalet met prachtige veranda waar we met het mooie weer veel gebruik van gemaakt hebben. De faciliteiten op het park zijn erg goed! Vooral de ijsjes 😍, maar ook zeker het zwembad. De sfeer was ook erg goed. We hebben ons erg thuis gevoeld 😊

Camping de ChênefleurJust spent three nights as a stopover from France. Nice atmosphere, nice people and nice place by river. Clean plumbing, sandwich service and village within walking distance. Nice tips at the reception about what to do in the area (= a lot!). Car is necessary though, cycling is not so pleasant here. Restaurant is nice for a drink, food we skip next time. All in all we would like to come back again!

Net drie nachtjes gestaan als tussenstop vanuit Frankrijk. Leuk sfeertje, leuke mensen en mooie plek bij riviertje. Schoon sanitair broodjes service en dorpje op loopafstand. Ook leuke tips bij de receptie over wat er allemaal in de omgeving te doen is (= veel!). Auto is wel nodig, fietsen is niet zo prettig hier. Restaurant is leuk voor een drankje, eten slaan we de volgende keer over. Al met al komen we graag nog een keer terug!

Camping De La Vallée4 quiet nights with 1 2-year-old child in caravan. Lots of Dutch and Dutch-speaking people, but that's not a problem. We were very well received at reception, in French and with a smile. The map is out of date, but the campsite is well laid out, clean and with a choice of accommodation to suit all budgets. Easy online booking. Small restaurant by reservation. Some services available for a fee, but at reasonable prices. Easy access to the Ravel and Ourthe rivers for cooling off. Easy access and not far from the center of Barvaux. Parasol recommended (a few trees but the sun is shining). I recommend :-)

4 nuits au calme avec 1 enfant de 2 ans dans roulotte. Beaucoup de hollandais et néerlandophones mais ce n’est pas un problème et bien accueillis à la réception en français et avec le sourire. Le plan n’est plus à jour mais le camping est bien agencé, propre et choix de logements divers pour tous les budgets. Réservation en ligne facile. Petit restaurant sur réservation. Quelques services payants mais prix corrects. Accès facile au Ravel et à l’Ourthe pour se rafraîchir. Facile d’accès et non loin du centre de Barvaux. Parasol conseillé en (quelques arbres mais le soleil tourne). Je recommande :-)

Camping SamozaStayed here for two weeks in high season with 3 young children. The Tokkie content is really very high. Largely fixed pitches, more than 50% of the pitches. This really gives a very unpleasant atmosphere, especially in the pool area. At the pool are so-called non-smoking areas. This is absolutely not enforced, even after reporting to the reception or lifeguards. Lifeguards are incompetent. Do not enforce rules at the pool (especially slides) and would rather sit on their smartphone and chat than keep an eye on swimmers. Keep a constant eye on your children yourself! The slides and all swimming facilities themselves are a plus though, unfortunately this does not outweigh the negatives. There are rules regarding fatbikes, unfortunately this is not actively enforced. Many youths tear without understanding on the roads and fields, even after reporting to the reception nothing changes. Supermarket has a fairly wide and good range. As usual quite pricey, but that should not spoil the fun. Big plus point is the animation team. This club really does their utmost to entertain the children every day. Also a big chapeau for Lisanne and her team at the equestrian center, they make every effort to provide a good time to the riders (to be). Toilet buildings are cramped at full occupancy. They are sufficiently and well cleaned. The restaurant has a reasonable offer and the staff do their best, however, they really can't handle it when full. Extremely long waiting times (even for a drink). Beautiful location in the green, beautiful cycling routes, many swimming possibilities in the area. All in all rather overpriced, too many things are questionable or dangerous. There are plenty of more affordable campsites in the area. For us never again camping Samoza.

Twee weken hier verbleven in het hoogseizoen met 3 jonge kinderen. Het Tokkie gehalte is echt erg hoog. Grotendeels betreffen dit vaste staanplaatsen, meer dan 50% van de plekken. Dit geeft echt een zeer onprettige sfeer, vooral in het zwembad. Bij het zwembad zijn zogenaamde rookvrije zones. Hier word absoluut niet op gehandhaafd, zelfs niet na melding bij de receptie cq badmeesters. Badmeesters zijn onbekwaam. Handhaven niet op regels bij het zwembad (vooral glijbanen) en zitten zelf liever op hun smartphone en te kletsen dan zwemmers in de gaten te houden. Houd zelf je kinderen constant in de gaten! De glijbanen en alle zwemfaciliteiten zelf zijn wel een pluspunt, helaas overstemd dit niet de negatieve. Er zijn regels mbt fatbikes, helaas word hier ook niet actief op gehandhaafd. Veel jeugd scheurt zonder verstand over de wegen en velden, ook na melding bij de receptie veranderd er niets. Supermarkt heeft een redelijk breed en goed aanbod. Zoals gewoonlijk tamelijk prijzig, maar dat mag de pret niet drukken. Groot plus punt is het animatie team. Deze club doet echt hun uiterste best de kinderen alle dagen te vermaken. Ook een grote chapeau voor Lisanne en haar team van de manege, ze stellen alles in het werk om een fijne tijd aan de ruiters (in spe) te bezorgen. Toiletgebouwen zijn krap bij een volle bezetting. Er word voldoende en goed gepoetst. Het restaurant heeft een redelijk aanbod en het personeel doet hun best, echter kunnen ze het bij een volle bezetting het echt niet aan. Extreem lange wachttijden (zelfs voor een drankje). Mooie ligging in het groen, prachtige fietsroutes, veel zwem mogelijkheden in de omgeving. Al met al tamelijk overpriced, er zijn te veel zaken discutabel of gevaarlijk. In de omgeving zijn voldoende beter betaalbare campings te vinden. Voor ons nooit meer camping Samoza.

Camping le RocFirst experience in Capfun, we were expecting "nickel". In the end, the sanitary facilities were dirty and mostly out of order. Poolside, it's not much better: 3 slides whose "safety lights" to start the descent are out of order, the only ladder out of the pool is broken and marked as off-limits (so it's very difficult to get out of the pool), no lifeguards playing their role, they chat outside the pool but are neither there to regulate access to the slides to avoid accidents, nor to supervise the children (while the same week a capfun in France suffered the death of a drowned 4-year-old girl). And to top it all off, a tiny grocery store (but it has the merit of being there) where the manager takes the liberty of refusing payment for a ticket with a slight tear in it, while remaining unpleasantly friendly. In short, we won't be coming back. We won't be back.

Première expérience en Capfun, on s'attendait à du "nickel". Au final, sanitaires sales, pour la plupart Hors services. Côté piscine, ce n est pas guère mieux : 3 toboggans dont les "feux de sécurité" pour démarrer sa descente sont HS, la seule échelle de sortie de piscine est cassée et balisée d'accès interdit (donc très difficile de sortir de la piscine), aucun maître nageur ne joue son rôle, ils discutent en dehors de la piscine mais ne sont ni là pour reguler les accès aux toboggans pour éviter les accidents, ni en surveillance des enfants (alors que la même semaine un capfun de France connaissait la mort d une fillette de 4 ans noyée). Et pour couronner le tout, une epicerie minuscule (mais elle a le mérite d être là) où le gérant se permet de refuser un paiement pour un billet avec légère déchirure tout en tutoyant désagréablement. Bref. Nous ne reviendrons pas.

Camping de VaubarletA magnificent campsite in the middle of nature where children can play in the river. The setting is top 👍. The pitches are big enough for a change from the factory campsites where we're all on top of each other. Run by a family who do a hell of a job. Well done. Just the right amount of entertainment, thanks to Virginie and Manon 🙂 Minus: the pool is a little small for the number of people who go there, but frankly it's manageable despite everything.

Un camping magnifique en pleine nature ou les enfants peuvent jouer dans la rivière. Le cadre est top 👍. Les emplacements sont assez grands ça change des campings usines où nous sommes les uns sur les autres. Tenus par une famille qui abat un sacré boulot . Bravo. Juste ce qu'il faut d'animation d'ailleurs merci a Virginie et Manon 🙂 Le moins :la piscine est un peu petite pour le nombre de personnes qui y vont mais franchement c'est gérable malgré tout.
