Beautiful vacation park

The atmosphere

Nice campground in a beautiful place. We chose this campground because it is close to Bobbejaanland. We went there by bicycle. But the campground has more than just that. There is a large inflatable pool placed in the middle of the campground. Water was ice cold when we were there (had not been nice weather). For hiking and biking (mtb) it is very nice, right from the campsite in the forest. There are many fixed cabins/caravans but the atmosphere is pleasant. Shower and toitet fine, but bring your own roll. The reception is fine, nothing more than that. We had dinner there two nights and it was more than fine. On Saturday there was a music event (schlager), not our thing but a lot of fun. In short, a great campsite to use as a base for hiking, cycling or bobbejaanland.

Beautiful new vacation park, in the middle of nature. Beautiful cottages. The village of Lage Vuursche is also highly recommended.

Fine cozy campsite, were in the forest cottages, was very nice, grandparents and 3 grandchildren, really enjoyed!

We will definitely visit this place again 😍

For free camping plots are not at all signposted. We came with a small camper and we didn't even know where to move around the campsite in the free camping area... The toilets, better not to comment on it, it doesn't even reach the level of Bricomania... And the best detail of a big campsite... YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR SHOWERING! It has never happened to me...

Liked: Kids loved the swimming pool, especially the slide. Beautiful views of the lake. Disliked: No toilet seats, this really isn’t ideal for women or young children! We booked a table for the on-site restaurant and then were told all the outside tables were taken and had to sit and wait for a table to be free, which was very odd. Sometimes felt like you had to tread on eggshells a little with the owners. Weren’t able to have a key for entry when we checked in as there wasn’t any left but then when we went out for the day had to wait ages to be let in and felt as though we were being a nuisance.

Being on a bare pitch with tent, we appreciated the shade, but less so the nearby low court. The sanitary facilities are good and clean, but we were short of hot water. Overall, the campsite is old-fashioned and needs a major refurbishment. The swimming pool is slippery near the pools and the water is never really clean. It even turned green for 4 days. The ping-pong tables are in poor condition and the tennis courts are worn out. None of the equipment is really functional. No children's activities as indicated in the description. Very oversold!

Liked: Lovely site. The pitches are a great size and kept private with nice hedging around each one. Site felt very safe and is kept immaculately clean, including the toilet/ shower facilities. Lovely pool and bar area. Perfect location with short walk to the beach and Lidl supermarket 10 minutes drive away. Shower block always immaculate and never gets too busy (despite being peak time never had to queue). Cleaner works very hard and deserves recognition for doing such a good job
