A very nice place. We spent one night here with the motor home. What a disappointment. The reception was impossible to find and turned out to be more than 5 min walk from the campsite itself. In addition, you are traffic jam parked between the other campers. Away atmosphere and view. Price-quality not in proportion.

According to the site and the ANWB, this is a 5-star campground, but it certainly is not. In fact, I really expect much better from a 5-star campground. Here are some of our findings: The store is expensive (3 peppers for €4.50) and limited open (2x 2 hours a day). However, the fresh rolls in the morning are really fresh and tasty. We had a site with private sanitary facilities. You pay (considerably) more for that, but you can't do the dishes on your own pitch. You still have to do that in the toilet building (which is not very clean and often has empty soap pumps). Also in the private sanitary building there is no toilet roll holder and you have to mix the shower manually, no one-handle mixer or thermostatic tap. Especially with small children, I find that dangerous and out of date. Also in your 'cubicle' is a list of what you should not do. Not very hospitable. The pool is not very big and very cold. Keep that in mind when you go swimming. Think carefully about the food in the restaurant, the quality is not very high, with hefty prices (salad € 18.00, which tasted like a bag of lettuce with dressing in a container). Better to eat at the Forest Canteen, which is on the recreation park next door. On a 5 star campsite I also expect certain facilities to be included in the price. Unfortunately at the Pampel even the use of Wifi costs money (€ 2.00 per device per day) and also electricity is limited to 4 kWh per day. use more? then that is deducted from your deposit at the end. I understand a limit, but 4 kWh is very little. And in conclusion: the hospitality of the Pampel is moderate. Staff is generally not very friendly, except (I think?) the owner. The activity team for children does try very hard. Furthermore, there is very much emphasis on wearing the mandatory bracelet. Apart from the fact that it is just irritating, I also think it is not up to date in terms of the environment. How many (useless) bracelets are thrown away per season? It adds nothing except irritation. Especially when you are greeted at the Roompot park next door with a sign saying 'welcome! Feel free to walk around our beautiful park, the coffee is ready'. That already does so much for the feeling. For us the first and also last visit to this campsite.

Beautiful campsite, spacious sites. Many chalets and good restaurant.

Much is still under construction or still being remodeled. Pitches directly on the lake are in a great location. Restaurants only open on weekends, supermarket permanently closed. Pitches sufficiently large and parceled out with hedges. Addition after the end of the vacation week: We were almost the only users of the short-term pitches (4 in total). The cleaning service for the sanitary facilities was then felt to have been discontinued. The roads and paths were heavily soiled or blocked by construction vehicles or could not be used at all. When it rained, parts of the site and facilities turned into lake beds or mud pools. The beach area was unkempt, the section of the swimming area in the lake was free-swimming (torn loose). As the Whitsun weekend approached, the bare essentials were quickly restored. It didn't matter that we camped there during the week, but the hefty daily price of around €45 (+ €0.50 per shower token) was maintained and is still too much. Too bad

It is just not it, poor to no explanation at reception, hygiene that left much to be desired, a lot of overdue maintenance, not really recommended, while the location is beautiful.

Used to be a wonderfully quiet campground but 2nd Pentecost barked out of your bed by some band thumping guests awake at an impossible time in the morning. Unfortunately no excuses but only stories as to why the owner got it right

1. The toilets are clean! 2. You will have to pay for the showers (this is really outdated). 3. Wifi is only available in the reception. 4. We booked for 3 nights but because the weather was bad we requested if it was okay to stay for 2 nights and we could get the funds back for one night. This was not possible as he does not do cancelations. This is very unfortunate and therefore I will not be back again. 5. For the price of one night you would expect better wifi. Conclusion: Great clean showers and toilets. Service because of the bad weather was a bit lacking. But if the weather was better this would not have been a problem.

I admire state of comfort, nature preservation, silence and hospitality.

N whole crowd but cozy

Nice campsite with lots of greenery. Unfortunately there was no hot water in the showers and you had to take cold showers. There was also no hot water for washing up. Unfortunately you didn't get any more food at 20:30. Otherwise the campsite is good. Very dog friendly
