I spent the night here on my EuroVelo 5 cycle tour. The prices are moderate. Nice tent meadow. The sanitary facilities are clean. The staff are very friendly. Small electrical appliances can be charged in the common room. This is open around the clock. There is even a covered, heated swimming pool, but I didn't get to use it. The only drawback: no free WLAN.

Einziges Manko: kein kostenloses WLAN.

Chère Sandra et Nadia, Thank you very much for the charming and friendly service during our stay at the "porte d'Alsace" campsite in Saverne (Zabern). It all started with the fact that we were able to register during the lunch break using a QR code and take a temporary pitch even though the reception was not manned. This is a very pleasant arrangement. We received very pleasant support when choosing our pitch. The sights in the area were explained in detail and assistance was provided in planning the visits. Very pleasant, non-intrusive assistance. We will be back, no question Dagmar and Jörg Chères Sandra et Nadia, un grand merci pour votre accueil chaleureux et votre gentillesse lors de notre séjour au camping " Porte d'Alsace " à Saverne (Zabern). Upon our arrival, we were able to register via a QR code during the dinner break and reserve a temporary pitch, even though the reception was closed. This system has proven to be very practical. We benefited from excellent assistance in choosing our accommodation. The local attractions were presented to us in detail and we were assisted in the organization of our visits. Un service très agréable et discret. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter ! Dagmar and Jörg

With family we stayed here on 2 pitches and a cottage. The campground is neatly laid out with plenty of spacious sites and alternating sunny or shady spots. The places are delimited with varying vegetation but with an open character. A new playground has just been installed which is very nice for the children. The swimming pool is simple but nice. The location is on the outskirts of the village, so there are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. The surroundings are beautiful, on the border of Alsace and Vosges. Nearby is a castle ruin with beautiful views, and there are many other ruins, viewpoints and beautiful hiking and biking trails nearby. Strasbourg is also well worth a visit. We give 1 star less because of a few minus points: One lady was quite blunt and gruff at times. The other ladies were very friendly. There are no toilet seats available. The owner must have a toilet seat at home. Give your guests that comfort. Hygiene is no excuse, even a toilet seat can be clean, it just takes more time. For us this is definitely a reason not to come back to a campsite. The snack bar was supposed to be open on weekends during the low season according to the website, but unfortunately it remained closed the entire 2 weeks we were there, even on the busy May 1 weekend. Paid wifi, and quite expensive too. Increasing my mobile subscription substantially for a month was considerably cheaper than the campsite's wifi. In summary, a nice campground, we had a great stay. But there are a few areas for improvement.
