Fine sanitary facilities, there is a small swimming pool and fun entertainment for the kids every day. From 5am onwards you can hear traffic on the nearby road very well. The message that this is only school buses and tractors is simply not true. Precisely a campsite you want to wake up to the birds and pleasant chatter, not traffic. We asked the reception to fill 2 ankle-deep holes and all we got upon inquiry was, "we didn't think it was necessary", "we talked to the neighbors" and "we don't have any sand to fill", ending with "I'll call the owner". I felt decidedly no service. Overall pricey for what you get. Ps no for the traffic I didn't go to the reception; after the hassle with the holes I feel little hospitality and also I don't see how she wants to magic away traffic. Pps yes the reservation is under my partner's name so you won't find me in the booking system but we are really here.

Very pleasant

This site is one of several along the Normandy coast which give easy access to the port of Caen. It is tight; you will not get a double wheel base caravan around it and I reckon a large motorhome would struggle. Our ‘van is 6.5m and reversing onto the pitch was an experience as the ‘road’ around the site is so narrow. Having said that, the pitches are boarded by hedges, the toilet and shower block (separate ladies block) clean and best of all there is direct access to the huge beach. The sand stretches for miles and if you have a dog they can dig and mess about in the water even in the summer which beats England. We were here just before the 80th D Day commemorations so the place was full of events and people from all over the world, however due to its special place in our history there is so much to do and see here whenever you come. Pegasus Bridge is just down the road and a little further on beyond Caen we’d recommend the Canadian museum and memorial, one of the best museums we visited in Normandy.|This is a good base from which to visit the Normandy landing beaches and is an obvious stop over after or prior to using the ferry. One word of warning, they shut reception at lunchtime and there is very little room for arriving ‘vans and motorhomes to park up….

Camping with beautiful location, lovely pitches. We actually find it very well maintained.(better than 11 years ago when we stayed here for a week) You have to put your caravan on a fixed spot which is marked with a tile, leaving the rest of the pitch overgrown with grass. |Sanitary facilities are fairly new and very clean. What I personally liked was the gift for the dog:-)We love coming to the Veluwe and will definitely return to this campsite.

Liked: Great, clean, family friendly campsite. Showers and washing up areas were spotless. Pool area was great for the kids. Saverne is also a lovely little town. Definitely recommend seeing Chateur Haut Barr for some lovely views. Also the beer served at the campsite snack bar was delicious 👌🏼

Sorry because the place would also be nice and even quite clean.....but the managers just can't seem to be nice....MAI!!!|Always annoyed and never a smile--not even chatting in the evening on the veranda, which at 11 p.m. you get reprimanded.

Hello! We've been camping for two years and the grey water drains have been out of order for two years! We've reported it to an employee but it hasn't had much effect! Does anyone know if it was fixed in 2024? Thank you for your replies.

This bungalow is a great place if you are looking for a peaceful retreat, It is clean and nicely decorated, with everything you need for a comfortable stay, The bed was cozy and the bathroom was a highlight with the whirlpool tub and rain shower, Although we didn't spend much time in the resort itself, it was nice to know that there were other activities available nearby, All in all a solid choice for a peaceful escape,

We had a fantastic stay at Holiday home Sydals XLI! The space was more than enough for our group of six, and the kitchen was well equipped for our family meals, The surrounding garden was a lovely retreat where we enjoyed some barbecues, Perfect for a relaxing getaway!

This place is quite a vibe! Super cozy and spacious, perfect for a group getaway, The kitchen setup is great for cooking and relaxing together, Plus, the outdoor pool? Great summer goals, 10/10 would recommend it for a group gathering

I loved the house on the beach, but it could be slightly modernized, However, the location compensates a lot, The ability to walk to the beach at any time was a big plus for us,
