Solid campsite close to the sea - but not very charming. A permanent camper zone, a safari tent zone (for groups) and a zone for tourist campers. Well organized overall!

Liked: Swimming pool very clean and recently built/updated. Main toilet block was very clean and modern. Disliked: Small toilet next to our pitch didn't have hand soap.

Liked: Nice,. well kept quiet campsite. The Dutch lady who owns and runs the site with her family was very helpful and friendly. She could not do enough for us and always had a smile on her face. The site has great showers and clean ablutions. Unlike some other feedback, you do not need to bring your own toilet paper, and the showers are not timed. Disliked: The onsite cafe was a little too expensive with a small glass of beer costing 5 euros - almost twice as much as in the local town of Bastogne. Food was good, but also a little over-priced. The Dutch lady's husband needs to lighten-up a little. He was pretty miserable and didn't appear to do much to help his wife behind the bar and at the reception.

😡 The big negative point of our stay was the reception * (explanation below). ||⛺️Le overall, the campsite is pleasant, with the River Loue running alongside. It's more or less wooded depending on the pitch. On the whole, all the pitches are spacious.||💧The swimming pool is cold. Very difficult to get in. ||🚗 The beginning of the road in the campsite is really uneven, there are big holes everywhere. ||🍕 The life center is nice: games available, terrace overlooking the river, armchairs, etc. ||🌿 About the activities planned by the campsite, they are mainly dedicated to children. There's just the local traders' market, but at the end of August there were only two (Jewellery and wooden board). No local food. It's a shame.||🚿 The sanitary facilities are on the whole fairly clean, but don't be afraid of spiders as they're everywhere (that's the nature thing).||🛶 On foot around the campsite there's not much to do apart from val'nature, which offers canoeing/kayaking trips.||🚿 A 5-minute drive away there's a cheese cooperative that's well worth a visit: cheeses and some local produce at very reasonable prices. ||🌿 However, we much preferred the Huttopia baie du mont saint michel campsite, which was better maintained, had a better welcome, had a better swimming pool, etc. ||*Very poor reception: the person who greeted us on arrival was not at all up to scratch, not even a hello. The young man left a few minutes after we entered the reception area, without apologizing or saying how long it would be before he returned. When he returned (about 10 minutes later) he gave us our pitch number without any further information about the site. However, a few days later we saw that there was a tote bag with all the information about the campsite and the region. What's more, this young man didn't know the campsite very well, as he couldn't tell us anything about the showers, etc. In short, the welcome needs to be improved!

Rented a Tiny tent 2 weeks ago for a weekend. I can handle a few spiders, but this one really gave me the creeps.... It was crawling with (large) spiders everywhere (inside the tent, outside the tent). I almost considered sleeping in the car. In the evening we decided to give the campsite owner a call and ask if we could spend the night somewhere else. To our great joy this was possible. We were allowed to spend the weekend in a tiny house free of charge. What a great service and how much we enjoyed that weekend! Thanks again for a wonderful relaxing weekend with you. For your information: the tent was cleaned the next day and sprayed with insect repellent!

Beautiful campground. Friendly staff. We rented echoppers through social deal and rode a beautiful hunebed route from the campground. You can sit next to the reception for a snack and drink. Various local products and maps for sale at reception.
