Disappointment all along the line - definitely not a 5-star campsite I was looking forward to this stay, but unfortunately I was disappointed in almost every respect. What is marketed here as an upmarket campsite in no way meets the expectations that one should have of such a category. 🚿 Sanitary facilities: inadequate and partially defective The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities leaves a lot to be desired. Not only are they unhygienic, but some of them are simply unusable - broken showers and toilets are not uncommon. This is absolutely unacceptable for a campsite of this size and price range. 🍽️ Gastronomy: overpriced and overwhelmed The restaurants on site are not only far too expensive, but also completely overwhelmed in terms of organization. Particularly annoying: in the "Loop", take-away food was no longer available from 6 p.m. - today even at 5:30 p.m.. Even though the place was empty again just ten minutes later. You really had to beg to get something at the Italian restaurant, and there was nothing left at Half8. This is a real problem for families with small children who go to bed early - you have to rely on to-go offers, but you simply don't get anything. 🛒 Supermarket & bakery: far too small, hardly any choice The supermarket is far too small for the size of the square and offers a disappointing selection. If you want to buy your own food, you'll soon be faced with empty shelves. The bakery doesn't deserve the name: three types of bread, a few börek - that's it. No croissants, no selection of bread rolls. And if you want to get something, you have to queue at 7 a.m., just like on a package vacation. 📍 Location: remote and without alternatives The location of the campsite is extremely remote. There are hardly any alternatives in the surrounding area - the nearest village is not far away, but also offers hardly any infrastructure. Anyone who ends up here is dependent on what the campsite has to offer - and that is simply not enough. 🏊 Pool: closed in the middle of the season Another annoyance: the pool was closed for two days - in the middle of the high season. No information, no apology. For many guests, especially those with children, the pool is a central element of their vacation. The fact that it is simply not available is an absolute no-go. --- ❌ Conclusion: Never again! I am honestly disappointed and annoyed that I agreed to this stay. The place is in no way recommendable - neither for families nor for couples or solo travelers. I'll just be glad when I can leave tomorrow. One thing is certain for me: this was the first and last time.

It is really a great, quiet and beautiful product. Everything is clean, organized and neat. All the staff are friendly and nice. I really enjoyed it with my family and we will definitely come back again to enjoy and have fun. Thanks to all the staff and workers without exception.

Ho campeggiato presso questa struttura, molto bella, ma c'è da premunirsi di alcune attenzioni: Fuoristrada attrezzato (non SUV, fuoristrada per davvero), per percorrere le stradine interne discretamente dissestate Zanzariere aggiuntive per le millemila mosche (ben oltre la media dei campeggi frequentati fino ad ora) Muta per il bagno in piscina: di mattina l'acqua è a 15 gradi (essendo ottimisti) Per il resto tutto ok

Campground a 2 minute drive from the A6. Used as a transit campground. Good pitches. Food on site limited. Fresh bread to order. Burger King is 3 min drive from the campsite.

Sandy beach by the lake. Lots of activities for children. An electric charging station would be nice.

Spending two nights at this campsite was great fun. The owner is extraordinary. The staff are very nice. Very clean campsite. Would recommend

Prelepi kamp u Njivicama na Krku. Ima predivnu plažu na najlepšem moru na svetu, na Jadranu. Kamp ima deo za šatore, doduše desetkovan ubačenim mobilnim kućicama. Ali i dalje ima svoj šarm. Umesto jednog velikog bazena pojavili se više manjih. Bar uz plažu i dalje radi radionice za decu. Šetnja uz more do gradića, mini golf, pecanje samo su neke od zabavnih morskih aktivnosti.

Friendly welcome, clean and regularly maintained sanitary facilities, the only drawback is that the shaded pitches are on a slope, so you'll need to bring good-sized wedges if you're camping. Very convenient access to the lake. Thank you for your warm welcome.

Our experience with Birkelt was unfortunately disappointing: Camping spot: booked with 2 adults and a teenager, yet placed directly behind the mini kids club. Not logical, this would have been better for a family with young children. Moreover, our spot was much too small for tent (7.5 x 4.5 m + cart + shelter); car had to go outside the park. Tip: have reservations made by size. Teen activities: are mentioned, but in practice the campsite is mainly aimed at children of elementary school age. Little on offer for teenagers. Language: animation completely in Dutch, but at reception and catering nobody spoke Dutch. This caused awkward situations. Rest & control: hardly any supervision before 8:00 and after 22:00 → a lot of unrest. Also saw demolished facilities in laundry room. Plumbing: frequent cold showers with no pressure, many toilets with broken flush button, cleaning minimal. Waste & noise pollution: glass waste and trucks as early as 7:00 am. Containers changed between 7:00-8:00 am by staff → a lot of noise. Swimming pool: Too cold and too small for the number of guests staying at the Birkelt.
