We arrived today with our camper at the campsite of Terme Čatež and honestly the experience was surprisingly disappointing for a place that promotes itself as a 5-star campsite. First, access to the pools is allowed only once per day. For us this is inconvenient because we usually go for a swim in the morning and again in the afternoon. It’s not a huge problem, but it’s definitely not something you would expect from a high-level spa resort. Another thing that felt unnecessary: you can stay in the campsite only until 12:00, after that you must move the camper out of the campsite to the parking lot if you want to continue using the pools. Technically you can still swim afterwards, but you must first pack everything and move the vehicle. If the camp were full in peak season, that would make sense. But right now the campsite is almost empty, so the rule doesn’t really benefit anyone. For a guest it would be much more comfortable to simply leave the camper on the pitch, have breakfast in peace, go for one last swim and leave later. It would cost the resort nothing, but would mean a lot for the guest. However, the thing that finally made me write this review happened with the sanitary facilities. At reception they told me the only working sanitary block was by the lake because the others are under renovation. They even circled the exact location on the map. So I parked nearby, unpacked the camper, set up the table, chairs, bikes — everything. Anyone who travels with a camper knows that unpacking is not something you want to repeat. When I went to use the toilets, I discovered they were locked. I called reception and they said they made a mistake and suggested that I move to another pitch. Anyone who has ever unpacked a camper knows how unrealistic that suggestion is once everything is already set up. Mistakes happen — that’s not the issue. What surprised me was the complete lack of any gesture of apology. A small gesture would have been enough: maybe a pool voucher, a small token for the amusement park, or simply allowing a later checkout. Instead the answer was basically: walk across the whole camp or move your camper. Another surprising detail for a 5-star campsite: the sanitary facilities are very old and worn, honestly looking like something from the Yugoslav era. To be fair, they were clean, and that personally doesn’t bother me much — but it certainly doesn’t match the 5-star standard. Because of this experience we will probably not come back. There are several other spa resorts nearby that are nicer and much more guest-friendly. If we ever do return, at least now I know: don’t rely too much on the information from reception — better check everything yourself first. 🙂

We went to the mobile homes, about 32 sq. m. well distributed, with 5 beds, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and kitchenette plus a dining area and patio. Cleanliness top and heating at max, even too much, in fact we lowered the temperature immediately. Comfortable beds, but after a spa day you sink into a restful sleep. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes cups and pots, has a kettle, lacks a coffee maker and if you want to bring Mokka from home it must be suitable for an induction hob, however. There was a new sponge for washing dishes, no soaps and detergents, yes towels and toilet paper and a broom with dustpan. In winter it is good only for a few days of relaxation at the spa, as a dormitory, in summer it is good for a few more days, being able to stay outside ... anyway I had never been in a mobile home and 4 of us had a great time
