At the same time, several visitors point to areas for improvement: cleanliness of sanitary facilities falls short, with low water pressure in showers and sometimes insufficient maintenance. We had booked accommodations at Wecamp Cala Montgo, but were placed at the back of the Cala Montgo campground. According to the front desk, it was the same place, but in reality, they were two completely different experiences. For €330 a night, I don’t expect to be staying at a campground.

The campground lacks atmosphere and is overcrowded. It also seems like an old campground that’s slowly being renovated, but several facilities are outdated.

Because they’ve incorporated the campground into the property, the pool area is also extremely crowded. There are no lounge chairs by the pool, just a few old folding chairs, so most people have to lie on the grass.

The accommodations themselves were fine, though.

Well, I’m going to try to be constructive with this review, and I hope the management takes my criticism in the spirit it’s meant and can fix what I saw last week. We stayed for one week, from Monday to Monday. And our disappointment with the campground grew as the week went on. We stayed on a site with our camper van, near the pool.
I’ll start with the good stuff… and that’s definitely the price. Unbeatable. The pool, the restaurant, and—well, from the outside—the teepees and bungalows looked great… Now for the bad stuff—and this is where management really needs to step up…
This first point is about the pool… don’t expect to relax in either of the two pools… it’s chaos with kids running wild and doing whatever they want… with absolutely no supervision… and you might say… it’s the parents’ fault… Well, no, because there are rules posted at the entrance that the campground—and the lifeguard in particular—are supposed to enforce… Kids and adults playing with balls, floating mats, diving headfirst—we even saw a group of kids grab each other by the arms and feet and throw themselves into the pool like a sack of potatoes… and the lifeguard was right there, saying nothing. Then the stampede to grab towels, throw them on the lounge chairs, and head back to their campsites… so don’t go looking for peace and quiet at that pool…
Second point… and this one’s serious. Four showers for all the campsites and teepees at the campground… four per gender, right next to the pool—so you can imagine how dirty and wet the floors were… As you can see in the photo, these showers were so cramped that you couldn’t bring much more than a towel to dry off, since there’s barely a shelf—about 7 cm by 20 cm, if that—and an incredible stench of urine… and I don’t blame the cleaning staff, who are cleaning it every three hours… But it’s a fact that management should look into this… 8 showers in total for more than 100 campsites and teepees… with a minimum of 2 people per campsite/teepee… so just imagine the lines…
Third point, and since I don’t want to go on any longer… the campground rules… the one about respecting quiet hours starting at 11 p.m. and the one about not driving vehicles inside the campground from that time until 8 a.m.… People ignored these rules sooo many times during the week… In the end, you have to enforce what you ask for… otherwise, don’t set rules in the first place…

In conclusion, if you’re a couple looking for a romantic getaway or some rest, forget it… you’ll have other people’s kids screaming and causing a ruckus all over the campground with no one doing anything about it. We won’t be coming back, and I don’t recommend it… It’s only worth it if you’re a family that wants to let your kids run wild at the campground and not worry about a thing… if that’s you… this is the place for you 😊👌🏼

I hope management takes this feedback in stride and makes a few changes to improve things.

We spent a few days here. The campground’s location is truly excellent—both the beach and the town are within easy walking distance. The campsites are well laid out, and the staff was always very friendly and helpful during our stay. Another plus is that you can do your laundry for €5.

Unfortunately, the restroom facilities clearly need improvement. The toilets and showers were often very dirty, and sometimes there was no toilet paper. In addition, there was hardly any water pressure and, at times, no hot water. The sinks for washing dishes were clogged and also unclean. It seemed to us that cleaning took place only once a day, and not until late in the evening—which, given the number of guests, is unfortunately insufficient.

Overall, the campground stands out for its excellent location, friendly staff, and dog-friendly atmosphere. If the cleanliness and sanitary facilities were improved, the stay would be much more pleasant.

Hi, we’ve been at this campground since Monday, July 27, and for the past three days the glass recycling bin has been filled to the brim, with no one doing anything about it—which would mean emptying it so that all of us at the campground could use it properly. This is a recurring issue; it happened to us last year as well. I have a photo, but I see that I can’t post it.

We stayed at the campground for two nights. The sites are very small and close together. We had to figure out where to park once we got there. The reception desk doesn’t have a layout, and it wasn’t assigned upon arrival either. At first, we were even assigned a spot that our RV wouldn’t fit in. We eventually accepted an available spot, but it was a tight squeeze. Trees are sometimes right in the middle of your campsite. On top of that, the power outlet was far away; we had to cross the driveway to reach it. And that area was also very cluttered. The power outlets aren’t linked to the specific campsites. The restrooms are outdated and often not clean. The doors on the toilets and showers aren’t very private either, since you can see right through them. The pool is actually quite nice, though.
