I agree with the criticism of Wecamp’s new management of the campground. We’ve been going there for 4 or 5 years, and we’ve noticed a real change for the worse. It’s truly sad that there are companies dedicated to destroying traditional camping and creating a “different camping experience”—one that’s really designed for people who hate going … camping. It’s sad that on a national holiday like Catalonia’s Diada, we can’t even get together for dinner and a post-dinner chat because some out-of-place Germans call us out shortly after 11 p.m. It’s even sadder because Wecamp is a Catalan company, but it’s clear which audience they’re targeting. It’s a long weekend in Catalonia—it’s still officially summer—and there’s not a trace of any entertainment, activities, or a kids’ club; the supermarket and restaurant are closed. Instead, they offer sites without kitchens because “camping” with your own tent or trailer is now prohibited. At this rate, RVs will soon be banned too. They should change their name to “We Don’t Camp.”
I’m giving it one star in defense of traditional campgrounds—the family-friendly ones where the people across from you say hello, and don’t take offense if you walk around in a bikini or without a shirt when it’s 40 °C in August—and in defense of the true meaning of the verb “to camp.” I understand there has to be room for everyone, but don’t call it a campground, and don’t take over what already exists and works well.

Me uno a las críticas sobre la nueva gestión del camping por Wecamp. Llevamos 4 o 5 años yendo y hemos percibido un verdadero cambio a peor. Realmente es muy triste que haya empresas que se dediquen a acabar con el campismo tradicional y crear una "experiencia diferente de camping", hecha realmente para los que odian ir de camping. Es triste que un día de festividad nacional como es la diada en Cataluña, no se pueda ni reunirse a cenar y de sobremesa, porque unos alemanes desubicados nos llaman la atención poco después de las 11 de la noche. Más triste porque Wecamp es una empresa catalana, pero está claro a qué público quieren dirigirse. Un puente festivo en Cataluña, aún oficialmente es verano, y no hay ni rastro de un mínimo espectaculo o animación ni miniclub, el supermercado y el restaurante están cerrados. En cambio ofrecen tiendas propias sin cocina porque la "acampada" con tienda propia o remolque están prohibidos ya. Pronto estarán prohibidas las autocaravanas a este paso. Deberían cambiarse el nombre a "We don't Camp".
Les pongo una estrella en defensa del camping de siempre, de los campings familiares donde la gente de enfrente te saluda, y no se ofende por que vayas en bikini o sin camiseta a 40 ° C en agosto, y por el verdadero significado del verbo acampar.
