Surroundings

Mountain adventures around the Pedraforca

The iconic Pedraforca is an absolute magnet for mountain and adventure enthusiasts. From various starting points, you can hike to viewpoints or, for experienced mountain hikers, follow the challenging route to the Pollegó Superior. Along the way, you'll be rewarded with spectacular panoramas over the Catalan Pyrenees. Beautiful trails also wind around the mountain itself, each season revealing a different face. In winter, the landscape transforms into a snowy fairytale, ideal for snowshoeing or sledding. This area combines sporting challenges with pure nature experiences.

Nature, water and relaxation

Between the mountains you'll find surprising places to relax, such as the natural pools of the Saldes river. On warm days, these crystal-clear waters form a refreshing oasis, surrounded by greenery and rock formations. The tranquility and the gentle sound of flowing water make it an ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle for a while. Combine this with a picnic or a short walk along the river. The contrast between rugged mountain peaks and gentle waterscapes makes this region particularly versatile.

Culture and Charming Villages

In addition to nature, the region also has much to offer culturally. In Guardiola de Berguedà, the gateway to the Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró, you can experience the authentic Catalan atmosphere. Visit local shops, enjoy regional dishes, or discover the history of the area. A bit further on are Gaudí's Artigas Gardens, where nature and architecture blend together harmoniously. A trip to Andorra is also easy to make—ideal for a day of shopping, wellness, or mountain culture in an international setting.

Magical moments under the stars

When the sun sets, the surroundings take on a completely different face. Thanks to the clean mountain air and minimal light pollution, Pedraforca is an excellent place for stargazing. On clear evenings, you can see the Milky Way with the naked eye and the silence becomes almost tangible. During the day, the many viewpoints invite you to take peaceful walks with ever-changing perspectives on the landscape. Whether you come for action or contemplation, this region lets you experience nature intensely, from sunrise to deep into the night.

The location of the campsite is very nice, with beautiful views of Pedraforca. The campsite is separated by a road, the upper one has small plots, tents and fixed caravans. The lower one has large plots and many, many bungalows. There is a small park for children with very few things and some in very bad condition. There is no grey water emptying service for motorhomes. Our experience has been quite negative, we booked two plots, one next to the other to go in motorhome with friends and our children to spend a few days of Easter. When we arrived they have put us separated and blame the reception workers claiming that they have been working for 15 days. They are sorry but there is nothing they can do. The second day at 9:30 in the morning my 3 year old son and I go to take a shower and when we are in the shower the water comes out cold. We get dressed and call the front desk. They tell us that they know, that maintenance is looking into it. I tell them that they could have put up a sign indicating that there is no hot water, and they say again that maintenance has been working for 15 days. All they try to offer me solutions to go to the showers of the campsite above, 10 minutes walk with a three year old child all uphill, crossing a road without zebra crossing or anything where cars pass very fast. No thanks. In the afternoon there was hot water and the signs that had been put up because of my complaint were still there. The activities offered by the campsite for children, were made in a large and cool room, but they have decided to do it in a plastic tent, small that in partial sun plus a sauna. It is not understandable. This tent is surrounded by plots of other campers and inevitably our children doing the activities and playing bothered the campers next to them who wanted to rest. The recycling garbage cans were worn and do not seem to be emptied very often and the toilets at 9:30 were already dirty and without toilet paper. All in all, beautiful views but a service that needs a lot of improvement. The WeCamp brand that offers "glamour" on its website has failed with flying colors.

No gracias.
