We've been to the Valkanela a few times now, but we definitely won't be coming back!!!! There are some factors that I don't like anymore! A few years ago it wasn't so concreted over! The whole beach is artificially restructured, yes it's nice when you can get into the sea, but when there is almost no current and jellyfish feel comfortable, then it's not so funny! And the whole natural flair of a coast is lost! You should allow enough time to check in, we were there at the end of September. We stood in line for an hour and watched as 2 people behind us and 1 couple in front of us drove off again! Despite 4 rows of vacation guests, 2 receptionists calmly started to put away the dinosaur brochures! I can't recommend the grill restaurant, where I ate a Maestra salad for 14.60, which only consisted of a small plate of green strips of lettuce, 2 cocktail tomatoes, a handful of bread cubes and 1 chicken strip the size of my little finger! I honestly can't understand why nothing is being done about consumption in the 60s! And what's also quite blatant here, unfortunately, are all the dogs! I love dogs. I love animals, but some owners are not able to take the poop with them! It's really borderline disgusting when you have to be careful with every step to make sure you don't step in something! The sanitary facilities are extremely clean! A big compliment for that! And the bakery on site has the friendliest staff and the best pastries I've ever eaten! Conclusion: It was a different place 10 years ago! Much more of a camping feeling, much more green, not so overcrowded! Not so many mobile homes! I wish they would offer these two types, mobile homes and camping, at different places! And dogs and their owners in a separate area!

Our mobile home, right next to the pool and sea/harbor was great. All the staff from reception to the cleaning staff were friendly and courteous. The site is beautiful and spacious. The washroom/toilet blocks on the site are super clean, friendly, bright and well lit in the evening. A lot has been renovated/changed on the site. Gladly again.

Gern wieder.
