Walk past the cozy stores, cafes and restaurants, and take a look at the weekly market. In the area you can enjoy hiking, biking, fishing and kayaking. The Musée Gustave Courbet is dedicated to the life and work of French painter Gustave Courbet, and can be found in his hometown of Ornans, less than a kilometer from the campsite. In addition to paintings, the museum displays drawings, engravings and photographs by one of France's most influential artists. There are also temporary exhibitions of contemporary art and photography, events and educational programs. Also take a look at the surrounding countryside, which provided much of the inspiration for Courbet's landscape paintings.

We spent two nights at "le Valdone". The campsite is very pleasant: calm and rejuvenating, we'll be back. Thanks to the whole team for their warm welcome. And a special mention to Patricia, for her warm welcome and smile. Lydie Dany and Annaëlle.

1 star. We were, however, loyal customers of Camping La Roche d'Ully. Two years ago, we organized our children's baptism at a cost of around €3,000 (4 mobile homes and catering). Despite catastrophic catering and a baptism cake that had to be redone several times because of spelling mistakes, 2 sausages per person when it wasn't agreed like that, and a lack of professionalism on the part of the manager, who was ill-tempered, we decided to return all the same, trusting in the commercial gesture that had been granted to us. During our last stay for the Whitsun weekend, we were once again disappointed. An unpleasant welcome, a totally unfounded accusation of speeding on the campsite, a change of procedure concerning deposits with no real follow-up, and finally a €30 deduction even though the mobile home had been completely cleaned before our departure, with photos to prove it. The reason? A simple tray of chicken forgotten in a garbage can. I sincerely hope that the person who had to carry it to the container wasn't injured in the process, because that's the only explanation I can find for the amount charged. I would like to point out, however, that we left the mobile home cleaner than when we arrived. The most regrettable thing is the total absence of any response to our complaint e-mail. After several disappointments and despite our loyalty, we have the feeling that customers are most appreciated when they pay the bill. We had planned to return with several members of our family to rent several mobile homes. This project has now been abandoned. A great disappointment from start to finish.

1 étoile. Nous étions pourtant des clients fidèles du Camping La Roche d’Ully. Il y a deux ans, nous y avons organisé le baptême de nos enfants pour un montant d’environ 3 000 € (4 mobil-homes et la restauration). Malgré une restauration catastrophique et un gâteau de baptême qui a dû être refait à plusieurs reprises à cause de fautes d’orthographe, 2 saucisses par personnes alors que ce n’étais pas convenue comme cela, et un manque de professionnalisme de la part du responsable, qui étais de mauvaise fois, nous avions choisi tout de même de revenir en faisant confiance au geste commercial qui nous avait été accordé. Lors de notre dernier séjour pour le week-end de la Pentecôte, nous avons une nouvelle fois été déçus. Accueil peu agréable, accusation totalement infondée d’excès de vitesse dans le camping, changement de procédure concernant les cautions sans véritable suivi, et pour finir une retenue de 30 € alors que le mobil-home avait été entièrement nettoyé avant notre départ, photos à l’appui. Le motif ? Une simple barquette de poulet oubliée dans une poubelle. J’espère sincèrement que la personne qui a dû la transporter jusqu’au conteneur ne s’est pas blessée dans l’opération, car c’est la seule explication que je trouve au montant demandé. Je tien tout de même à préciser que nous avons rendu le mobil-home plus propre qu’il ne l’étais à notre arrivée. Le plus regrettable reste l’absence totale de réponse à notre mail de contestation. Après plusieurs déceptions et malgré notre fidélité, nous avons le sentiment que les clients sont surtout appréciés lorsqu’ils règlent la facture. Nous avions prévu de revenir avec plusieurs membres de notre famille pour louer plusieurs mobil-homes. Ce projet est désormais abandonné. Une grande déception du début à la fin.

Campsite does not deserve its stars, no swimming pool, only one toilet block, very high price. Some 3-star campsites are much better equipped, clean and have more suitable pitches that aren't in the mud, so there's no point....

The campsite is beautifully situated on the edge of Ornans. The operators have only been running the site for a short time, so in my opinion many of the reviews are no longer up to date. The operators are really friendly, welcoming and helped us with all our requests, the sanitary facilities are clean and the baked goods are fresh and delicious in the morning. The food in the restaurant is freshly made and I haven't eaten such a good burger for a long time. Unfortunately, the campsite has no influence on the opening hours of the baths...., so it's better to check carefully in the low season. We really enjoyed it and will definitely come back here again.

Der Campingplatz ist sehr schön gelegen am Rande von Ornans. Die Betreiber führen die Anlage erst seit kurzem, daher sind viele Bewertungen aus meiner Sicht nicht mehr auf dem neusten Stand. Die Betreiber sind wirklich freundlich, herzlich und haben uns bei allen Anliegen geholfen, die sanitären Einrichtungen sind sauber und die Backwaren morgens frisch und lecker. Das Essen im Restaurant ist frisch gemacht und ich habe lange Zeit keinen so guten Burger mehr gegessen. Einfluss auf die Öffnungszeiten des Bades hat der Campingplatz leider nicht….daher in der Nebensaison lieber genau nachlesen. Wir haben es sehr genossen und werden bestimmt mal wieder hier landen.
