We came to this campsite from Germany with our small child for a 3-day stay, hoping to escape the +40°C heat and get some rest. Unfortunately, our mobile home did not have air conditioning. As shown on the campsite map in the attached photo, all of the pink-colored mobile homes are not equipped with air conditioning. In such extreme temperatures, this is a very important detail to be aware of when booking.

Inside the mobile home, it was extremely hot both during the day and at night. Sleeping was uncomfortable, and my husband also had to work remotely during our stay, which made spending time inside even more difficult. We asked at reception if it would be possible to get at least a fan, but unfortunately no fans were available either.

On the positive side, the campsite is beautiful and well maintained. There is a nice swimming pool, two outdoor playgrounds, and one indoor playground, which our child really enjoyed. We also appreciated that towels, bed linen, and toilet paper were provided, as many campsites in France charge extra for these items. Being able to park directly next to the mobile home was also very convenient.

Overall, the campsite has many good features, but the lack of air conditioning — and even the absence of fans — had a significant impact on our stay. We came specifically to escape the extreme heat, and unfortunately that goal was not achieved.

Beautiful campsite surrounded by nature, with plenty to do both on and around the site. There are also many trees providing shade from the hot sun, which was really welcome since we stayed during a heatwave.

Overall, the campsite itself wasn’t too noisy, which was nice. One downside, however, was that our tent pitch was located near both a garbage disposal area and a car park. The car park was noisy due to people entering and leaving, and the garbage disposal area was particularly unpleasant in the mornings, with noise starting around 8 a.m. and a noticeable smell. Since we only stayed for two nights, we didn’t raise the issue.

There was free WiFi throughout the campsite without needing to actively register or provide data, which was a nice surprise.

The sanitary facilities are large and very clean. The rest of the campsite is also well maintained, with a nice supermarket, bar, and restaurant. The staff were very friendly as well.

We were here so we could go for a morning walk in the Mullerthal region and enjoy a swim in the afternoon. It was perfect for that. There are also some nice places nearby where you can grab a bite to eat. You do depend on your neighbors at campsites like this. The first two nights, we had quiet, friendly neighbors. The next day, unfortunately, we had noisy older Dutch guests. All in all, I’d highly recommend it.

Eerste 2 nachten rustige vriendelijke mensen. Dag erna luidruchtige oude Nederlanders helaas. Al met al een aanrader.
