In itself a nice campground. But what was the pool a disappointment. The water in the indoor pool is really ice and ice cold. After fifteen minutes our children already had purple lips.

If you are looking for an outstanding culinary experience in a relaxed and welcoming setting, HU Birkelt Village delivers far more than expected from a camping destination — it sets a real benchmark. This is not just casual dining — it is quality-driven craftsmanship. The absolute standout: the pizza. Quite simply, among the best in Luxembourg. The dough reflects true Neapolitan expertise — perfectly fermented, light, airy, and beautifully elastic, with a soft yet structured base. The crust shows excellent development, with balanced flavor and digestibility — a clear sign of precise fermentation and baking control. The toppings follow the same rigorous standard: high-quality ingredients, clean flavor profiles, and well-balanced compositions that elevate each pizza beyond typical expectations. And then comes the signature dessert: the pistachio cheesecake. Quite simply, one of the best cheesecakes in Luxembourg. The texture is exceptionally creamy yet structured, with a smooth, dense consistency that melts cleanly on the palate. The pistachio flavor is pronounced but refined — nutty, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced without being overpowering. The base adds just the right amount of contrast, completing a dessert that feels both indulgent and technically well executed. The overall experience combines relaxed atmosphere with unexpectedly high culinary standards — a rare positioning that clearly differentiates this place. Honestly: once you’ve experienced both the pizza and the pistachio cheesecake here, your expectations for “camping food” will be permanently redefined.

Arrived on April 18, the first day the campground was open to guests again. We booked through Roan and were able to get right into the cottage upon arrival. Parking was available right at the cottage. Location was ideal overlooking the forest. Entertainment was plentiful. Our daughters aged 4 and 8 had a great time. The animation team was from the Netherlands since most guests visit this park in the May vacation. As parents we occasionally had to join in fun during the animation activities. Indoor pool used. Fun for young and old, spray park, belly-slide mat and paddling pool. Outdoor pool was still closed because of the period. The food was super, nothing to complain about. Service very friendly and listening to your wishes. Freshly prepared, no frozen junk what you get at some campsites. We ate with 7 people including 2 children and we were full from just the main course. There is a takeaway available where fresh pizza and deluxe scoop ice cream are available. We visited several famous places in nature and the kids loved it. The campground is quite central for the many places to visit in nature. Even with our daughter of 4 we were able to climb quite a bit in the Mullerthal. In some places there are playground equipment and other entertainment for the youngsters. If you like nature and want to get your kids more involved I would definitely recommend a weekend or midweek in Luxembourg. The campsite has a nice central location where you already visit most nature spots between 10 and 30 minutes driving distance.
