Enjoy On And By The Water
Whether you're a water sports enthusiast or simply looking to relax, there's water fun for everyone near Glamping de Parel. Learn to (kite)surf at Horst Beach or rent a boat at the marina. There are various beaches nearby where you can enjoy a day by the shore, or head to Telstar Beach where you can also lounge in the Beach Club.

Dive Into History
Explore the centuries-old Hanseatic city of Harderwijk, where the Hanseatic history can still be found in numerous monuments, beautiful facades, and ancient city walls. Take a stroll through the charming squares where you'll find cozy cafes, restaurants, and boutique shops. The history doesn't end there. Just outside Harderwijk lies De Essenburg Castle, which takes you back to the 17th century with its castle rooms and romantic English landscape garden. If you want to discover more, De Essenburg Castle is one of the stops on the "Culinary Castle Route." This 50-kilometer cycling tour takes you through three beautiful estates in the Veluwe region, where you can also indulge in culinary delights at a special location.
Taste Wine From Our Own Country
Curious about the taste of Dutch wine? On the former seabed of the reclaimed Zuiderzee, you'll find Wijngoed Wilgenhorst. The first harvest took place at this Dutch vineyard in 2014, and it now boasts over 4,000 vines. And, of course, that's something you have to taste.
Regular guided tours take place, where winemaker Geert Horlings takes you through the vineyard and gives you a glimpse into the wine cellar, all while enjoying a good glass of wine. Additionally, on Fridays and Saturdays, you're welcome to visit the wine shop or enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace. For more information, visit the reception of De Parel.
Immerse Yourself In Nature
Holsterwold is not only a beautiful nature reserve with plenty to experience, but it is also one of the largest deciduous forests in the Netherlands. There are stunning hiking trails, and you can enjoy a bike ride through the area. Perhaps you'll spot some of the magnificent animals that inhabit the forest, such as fallow deer, foxes, or wild horses. In the Zevensprong play forest, children can play, climb, and even build huts.

We booked a glamping tent through Booking.com and would like to share our mixed experiences so that other guests can get a better idea of what to expect. The contactless check-in was very well organized - everything was explained clearly and the key handover via letterbox worked without any problems. The complex itself is also very nicely located and well maintained. The tent looked like the one in the pictures, but we had considerable problems with the heating. The stove in the tent worked at first, but then developed a lot of smoke, so that the whole tent was smoky. Our clothes and objects smelled strongly of smoke, I started coughing and one person in our group with pneumonia was additionally affected. After the stove could no longer be used, it was very cold and damp in the tent, which made the overall stay unpleasant. We contacted the accommodation several times, but unfortunately the response was not particularly cooperative. We were told that we could possibly move to a heated vacation home in two days - but this was not an option in our situation. There was no direct solution or concession, and we also had to contact customer service via Booking.com for a refund, as the accommodation itself did not respond. We would like to emphasize: The resort is really nice, and those who book a vacation home will certainly have a good time here. However, we would not recommend the glamping tent for the colder months, as heating and humidity are a real problem and the stay can quickly become uncomfortable.

We liked the park and the restaurant in itself, as well as the presence of the Jacuzzi at the cottage. Unfortunately, the cottage was really dirty which disappointed us greatly. I contacted the owners, but they have not responded to my message to date. I felt it was important to give them a chance to respond to my message before writing a review online, but now I am forced to post this online. The stay costs way too much money to then end up in a dirty house. Such a shame.

Zo spijtig.

"An open space where Luxury and Nature meet." That's what it should be according to their website. Nature I found and it is beautiful! Unfortunately, the luxury was far to be found. We were in lodge number 27 and it was supposed to be for 6 people. We were there with 5 adults and 1 baby and it was way too small. You couldn't fit a baby bed in any of the bedrooms. In the end the baby had to sleep in the bathroom. The sofa was filthy, did not sit at all. There were only 4 dining chairs and the 5th person had to sit on a rickety folding chair. We were unlucky that the weather was very bad, so we had to sit inside. I can somewhere imagine that when the weather is nice you are outside more and then it is more comfortable. We just left earlier with the baby because it was no longer comfortable. Here a few points of improvement(or are there more than a few?): - frying pan and frying pan were completely convex, could not be used. - all chairs and sofas uncomfortable - jacuzzi should be checked in between, after 3 days the water was really dirty. - cottage not accessible for people with mobility problems or with a stroller. - table top there the paint peeled off. - pay 12 euros for the rental of an ikea high chair that also costs 12 euros in the store. - create space for cribs. - install screens so you don't have to look at squashed animals on the walls on ceilings. - closet space where you can store your groceries. -hooks on the outside doors so you can open them ajar. If I still felt like typing I'm sure I could think of more. I paid 1300 euros for Wednesday to Monday and for this money I really do expect much more than what we got now. Especially for what Resort the Pearl advertises. To conclude with something positive, the environment and the tranquility are very pleasant.
