Enjoy On And By The Water
Whether you're a water sports enthusiast or simply looking to relax, there's water fun for everyone near Glamping de Parel. Learn to (kite)surf at Horst Beach or rent a boat at the marina. There are various beaches nearby where you can enjoy a day by the shore, or head to Telstar Beach where you can also lounge in the Beach Club.

Dive Into History
Explore the centuries-old Hanseatic city of Harderwijk, where the Hanseatic history can still be found in numerous monuments, beautiful facades, and ancient city walls. Take a stroll through the charming squares where you'll find cozy cafes, restaurants, and boutique shops. The history doesn't end there. Just outside Harderwijk lies De Essenburg Castle, which takes you back to the 17th century with its castle rooms and romantic English landscape garden. If you want to discover more, De Essenburg Castle is one of the stops on the "Culinary Castle Route." This 50-kilometer cycling tour takes you through three beautiful estates in the Veluwe region, where you can also indulge in culinary delights at a special location.
Taste Wine From Our Own Country
Curious about the taste of Dutch wine? On the former seabed of the reclaimed Zuiderzee, you'll find Wijngoed Wilgenhorst. The first harvest took place at this Dutch vineyard in 2014, and it now boasts over 4,000 vines. And, of course, that's something you have to taste.
Regular guided tours take place, where winemaker Geert Horlings takes you through the vineyard and gives you a glimpse into the wine cellar, all while enjoying a good glass of wine. Additionally, on Fridays and Saturdays, you're welcome to visit the wine shop or enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace. For more information, visit the reception of De Parel.
Immerse Yourself In Nature
Holsterwold is not only a beautiful nature reserve with plenty to experience, but it is also one of the largest deciduous forests in the Netherlands. There are stunning hiking trails, and you can enjoy a bike ride through the area. Perhaps you'll spot some of the magnificent animals that inhabit the forest, such as fallow deer, foxes, or wild horses. In the Zevensprong play forest, children can play, climb, and even build huts.

Unfortunately, our stay was severely affected by a defective wood stove. The chimney flue did not work properly, causing smoke to enter the accommodation and leaving our clothes with a strong smoke odor. Due to the massive smoke development – caused after the stove was loaded by the employee – the accommodation was at times completely unusable, while outside the weather was cold, rainy, and windy. Despite several requests, we neither received timely assistance nor a clear update, apart from being told not to use the stove. Given these significant inconveniences, we believe compensation is justified. The thermostat also reset itself during the night, which made it cold at night. Due to the malfunctioning fireplace and the thermostat resetting itself, it was very cold in the accommodation during the night and in the early morning hours.
