All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the campground. The staff was friendly, and the snack bar was nice. It’s a paradise for kids in the summer. The other campers were very friendly—which isn’t always the case these days. Urk itself is very beautiful. The only thing that really surprised us was the electricity bill. We were told we used 20 kW over 2 days. Aside from the usual electrical appliances like the refrigerator, coffee maker, TV, and charging our cell phones, we don’t have any other power-consuming devices. On average, we use 5–6 kW over two days. Also, the chemical toilet disposal system was clogged. It was a very unsightly sight when we went to dispose of it. Therefore, we’re deducting one star.

Daher 1 Stern Abzug.

We're here a bit on the off season (early May) but the facilities are quiet, clean, and everyone here is super helpful. Having a great trip!

Large family campground with many cabins and permanent sites. Separate area for RVs. The large restroom building is okay and uses a key card; the smaller building is outdated, and the chemical toilet there is very dirty and lacks a hose. Electricity is billed separately at 0.80 euros per kilowatt, and the shower faucet needs to be reset if you use too much water.
