Vakantiepark BreeBronne is appreciated for its beautiful location around a swimming lake with beach and extensive facilities for families, including a swimming pool, indoor playground and comprehensive animation programme. Staff are predominantly friendly and helpful, and guests praise the spacious accommodations and well-maintained park. Areas for improvement include the sanitary facilities which are dated and require more regular cleaning, the small camping pitches with limited privacy, and the restricted opening hours of catering and shops, especially outside peak season.

We booked an 8-person Bos Lodge at the last minute, where six of us stayed for four days during the summer vacation of 2026. Thanks to the changeable weather, we were able to thoroughly test both the indoor and outdoor facilities.
Arrival and Location
Upon arrival, the campground immediately makes an impression with its central lake, palm trees, beach, and charming beach bar. The park has a nice mix of paved cobblestone roads and sandy paths. Our Bos Lodge was located on the edge of the park, right up against the forest. From our bed, we had a fantastic view straight into the woods! The advantage of this is the incredible peace and quiet, as well as the nature all around you; we even saw squirrels and a pair of kingfishers fishing in the ditch next to the cottage. The only downside is the distance to the amenities; with small children, a bike, scooter, or wagon is definitely recommended. A nice bonus: we were allowed to park two cars at the cottage.
The Accommodation
The cottage looked beautiful from the outside and was very spacious and neatly furnished on the inside. Luxury extras like a Quooker, dishwasher, and window screens made our stay very comfortable. With several cozy bedrooms, each with its own shower and toilet, and a pleasant covered terrace, we wanted for nothing. You enjoy plenty of privacy here, while children can still easily socialize at the play areas. You definitely pay more than you would for a campsite, but you really get luxury in return.
Facilities and Maintenance
The campground has a wide range of amenities and a fun kids’ program. The play facilities are fantastic: an indoor playground (a lifesaver in bad weather), outdoor playgrounds with a bouncy castle, ping-pong tables, sports fields, a sand motocross track, a volleyball court on the beach, and even a unique water slide that ends in the lake.
However, the park is a bit dated in places. New and old playground equipment are mixed together, and during peak season, it was frustrating that the arcade machines and vending machines weren’t working properly or weren’t being restocked. The indoor pool is on the small side and divided into three sections: a toddler pool, a wide slide, and a deeper pool (1.35 m). The changing rooms felt a bit outdated. What really stood out was the lack of supervision. I even had to speak up myself when I saw children diving dangerously in the shallow end. There was also hardly any active supervision at the indoor playground.
We can’t comment in detail on the campsites and restrooms because we didn’t use them, but from the outside, the restroom building looked quite outdated.
Atmosphere, shop, and staff
For adults, there’s a nice beach bar, though unfortunately it was closed even on the only sunny day we were there. However, you can get an ice cream at the front desk, relax at the bar, or play a game. The staff was friendly, but very young and therefore sometimes a bit inexperienced. The campground store is fine and has a wide selection. A plus for day trips: Toverland amusement park is just a 15-minute drive away.
Food and Beverage (the biggest downside)
For a 5-star campground, the food and beverage service really falls short. The food was pricey and not always well prepared. The staff spoke hardly any Dutch or English, and hygiene left much to be desired: unfortunately, one of our travel companions got sick from the food. Although the pizzas tasted fine, the kitchen operates in a rather amateurish manner. Our advice: buy your groceries at the little store, cook for yourself at the lodge, or eat outside the park.
Conclusion
A beautiful location surrounded by nature with fantastic play areas for the kids. The food service and supervision clearly need improvement, but despite that, we had a very pleasant stay!this is a translation, click here for the original

The Boscube cottage was nice, in a good location near a playground, though unfortunately not very clean—there were ants in the kitchen and a rat under the cottage. The decor was nice, though we found the beds uncomfortable, but that’s, of course, a matter of personal preference.
We also didn’t have much luck with the weather, and this park is definitely at its best when the weather is nice.
The small supermarket closes at 5:00 p.m., which is very inconvenient, especially on arrival day.
The staff (at the supermarket and snack bar) were definitely neither knowledgeable nor friendly.
The guy stirred the peanut sauce with his finger to see if it was warm, then licked his finger before packing up your fries. They couldn’t even say “hi” or “hello”—this happened both at the supermarket and the snack bar. There are a lot of young people who apparently don’t feel like working.
All in all, we went home early. Not an experience we’d want to repeat, as far as we’re concerned.this is a translation, click here for the original

We spent four days at BreeBronne with our trailer and had a fantastic time all around.
Most of the campsites are located under shady trees. Electricity, water hookups, and direct wastewater disposal at the campsite are available and already included in the price.
The entire park is very clean, well-maintained, and family-friendly. The staff at the front desk and the entertainment team are extremely friendly and helpful, and most of them speak or understand German without any problems.
The entertainment program is varied and changes daily. Although most activities take place in Dutch, German-speaking children are always included. Only the evening shows are exclusively in Dutch. You can use the app to see at any time when and where the individual program items are taking place. Especially fun for the kids: There’s at least one Meet & Greet with the mascot Oxxy Otter every day.
In addition to the swimming lake, where you can rent boats or stand-up paddleboards at reasonable prices, there are several playgrounds, an indoor pool (unsupervised), and an indoor play area. For food and drinks, there’s a restaurant, a supermarket, and various snacks like fries, burgers, frikandel, and pizza. We found the prices to be absolutely fair. There’s also delicious ice cream on the beach.
The location right across the German border is ideal for us and easy to reach.
All in all, a very nice vacation park that we highly recommend, especially for families with children up to about 12 years old. We’ll definitely be back—but next time for a longer stay 😀this is a translation, click here for the original
