De Thijmse BergAs beautiful as the website and photos are, the park itself is not. I wouldn't call it a full-fledged vacation park, but rather a luxurious but somewhat claustrophobic-feeling bungalow park. The park is next to a wooded area, and has to rely on that. The facilities on the park are there, but do not invite to a longer stay and certainly not in busier periods. Not a must, but there are better places to stay with children.

Zo mooi als de website en de foto’s zijn, zo mooi is het park zelf niet. Ik zou het geen volwaardig vakantiepark willen noemen, maar eerder een luxe maar wat claustrofobisch aanvoelend bungalowpark. Het park ligt naast een bosrijke omgeving, en moet het daar van hebben. De voorzieningen op het park zijn er, maar nodigen niet uit tot een langer verblijf en zeker niet in drukkere periodes. Geen afrader, maar er zijn betere plekken te vinden om te verblijven met kinderen.

Résidence ValkenburgWe had booked cottage 516 in the period from December 27 to January 3. The cottage was for 6 people, however the seating capacity of the sofa and armchairs is only for 4 people. The cottage itself was nice and clean, also the bathroom was clean and fresh. However, the toilet did flush after flushing. There was plenty of cooking utensils, cutlery and plates. The park advertises to be fireworks free, this was also nicely observed, compliments. There was even surveillance on New Year's Eve to ensure this. The park has few facilities and is very quiet and basic, in fact, the biggest plus is the location. It is really perfect! You sit here centrally in South Limburg and you drive to Valkenburg (5 min), downtown Aachen (20 min) or Maastricht (25 min). In addition, tourist locations such as Gaia zoo and Drielandenpunt are also nearby. There are plenty of walking and cycling routes to enjoy the surroundings.

Wij hadden huisje 516 geboekt in de periode van 27 december tot 3 januari. Het huisje was voor 6 personen, echter de zitmogelijkheden van het bankstel en de fauteuils is maar voor 4 personen. Het huisje zelf was netjes schoon, ook de badkamer was netjes en fris. De wc liep echter wel door na het doortrekken. Er was voldoende kookgerei, bestek en borden. Het park adverteert met vuurwerkvrij te zijn, dit werd ook keurig nageleefd, complimenten. Er werd zelfs op oudejaarsavond gesurveilleerd om dit te waarborgen. Het park heeft weinig faciliteiten en is erg rustig en basic, het grootste pluspunt is namelijk de locatie. Die is echt perfect te noemen! Je zit hier centraal in Zuid-Limburg en je rijdt zo naar Valkenburg (5 min), centrum Aken (20 min) of Maastricht (25 min) toe. Daarnaast zijn toeristische locaties als Gaia zoo en Drielandenpunt ook dichtbij. Er zijn genoeg wandel- en fietsroutes om van de omgeving te genieten

ZuiderzeeIf you charge such prices and the park is well filled during the vacation season, you can't run the park on a low flame. the catering staff is far too few and absolutely inadequately trained. the animation offer is limited to a minimum and is also carried out in some passage room. the condition of the houses is just about adequate. The temperatures in the café and indoor play area, including the passage room for entertainment, are borderline, and the temperatures in the swimming pool are a health hazard. The fact that the large hall including the bar and entertainment stage was not used is really sad given the park's capacity utilization, especially as this was one of the reasons why we liked it on our last visit and why we decided to visit again, presumably also to avoid having to heat this room. I also don't understand how it can be that both pool tables are broken the whole week and are not repaired, but this fits into the overall picture that the park has given. We will definitely avoid EuroParcs as we got much better service for the same money at other park chains.

Wenn man Solche Preise aufruft und der Park in der Ferienzeit gut gefüllt ist darf man den Park nicht auf Sparflamme führen.Personal in der Gastronomie ist viel zu wenig und absolut ungenügend ausgebildet.Das Angebot der Animation ist auf ein minimum beschränkt und wird zudem in irgendeinen Durchgangsraum durchgeführt.Der Zustand der Häuser ist gerade so ausreichend. Die Temperaturen im Café und Indoorspielplatz samt Durchgangsraum für Animation sind grenzwertig, die Temperaturen im Schwimmbad gesundheitsgefährdend. Das die grosse Halle samt Bar und Animationsbühne nicht genutzt wurde ist bei der Auslastung des Parks echt traurig zumal das ein Grund war der uns bei unserem letzten Besuch gefallen hat und uns zu einem erneuten Besuch bewegt hat.Vermutlich auch um diesen Raum nicht beheizen zu müssen. Im übrigen verstehe ich auch nicht wie es sein kann das beide Billardtische die ganze woche defekt sind und nicht repariert werden.Das passt aber ins Gesamtbild das der Park abgegeben hat. Wir werden jedenfalls EuroParcs meiden da wir bei anderen Parkketten wesentlich bessere Leistungen für das gleiche Geld bekommen haben.
