Nice campsite, nice and close to the sea with beautiful pitches! Relatively much privacy, not such a large field where you sit on top of each other. Nice for (young) families. Disadvantages: -for the price (€60 for one night for a small pitch without electricity) the facilities are very limited. There is no catering facility or small store at the park. - large campsite, therefore feels a bit less cozy. -De Koog is not the most authentic village on the island.

Excellent 3-night stay! Very well run campsite, pleasant setting and above all top-notch staff: welcoming, smiling and available. The kids loved the pool, trampoline and games room. We'll be back again soon!

We discovered this place through a subscription box. We stayed in the African cabin, where we slept very well. The accommodation is simple but functional for one night. The steps at the front are a bit steep and not very wide—that’s the only downside for me. The bathrooms are very clean. We ate dinner there, but there’s something quite surprising that I’ve never seen anywhere else: you order your food, pay, and then they prepare it for you. I think that’s just so-so. Otherwise, it’s a quiet, no-frills campground.

A very pleasant campground located next to the lake. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. The campsites are clean and spacious. The restrooms are cleaned regularly. In the surrounding area, there’s a beautiful bike ride to Angoulême and plenty of activities to enjoy on the lake. The campground offers daily activities (pétanque, ping-pong, swimming pool). The tour of the apiary was great. As for the karaoke nights and concerts, we really had a blast. The idea of a friendly breakfast is very original and gave us a chance to chat with the staff. Kudos to the cook for the paella and the burgers 👍, and a special shout-out to Ambre and Lucas, who were always in a good mood.

It was a wonderful vacation in a great environment. There is a lot on offer for children. Food in the restaurant was fantastic. The house and garden were great. We felt really comfortable. The highway didn't bother us at all. Fantastic view of the water. The nearest supermarket is 10 minutes away. A paradise for anglers. All in all thumbs up👍👍👍👍

Super days had nice people met you could just be yourself

Very nice campsite! Not too big, nice spots and plumbing was just neat and clean. The staff is also very friendly and the prices for catering are reasonable.

We had a nice time on the camp site Les Laurier Roses. We booked shortly before the desired dates. Fortunately there was availability, unfortunately not for the whole 2 desired weeks. That's the risk we took with deciding going to the Cote d'Azur quite last minute. We received pitch 11. An oddly shaped, but for us adequate pitch. There was a little steep climb to get there, but that did give a very nice view. I observed that many pitches have excellent views. Due to the steep climb, for those with trailers, do use the offer of Andre to have it brought to your pitch. The swimming pool was nice. Deep enough to be able to swim well. Large enough to actually swim. At the pool side are nice deck beds and parasols available. The pool rules are clear and very well. Leave shoes outside the pool gates and take a shower before jumping in. Unfortunately I have seen too many people avoiding showers, avoiding the water basin to walk thru to get in. And nobody cares. The toilet and shower area was very clean. The cleaning team did an amazing job every day. Just a pity that cleaning was done everywhere at the same time and the access was blocked with a broom. So at some point all is blocked and people step over the broom..... The showers were nice except for the temperatures. I haven't been able to have 1 nice good shower in 8 days. Always it goes from warm to cold, to cold, to slightly warmer, to cold. A pity. The water taps at the wash basins are the automatic type, but completely unsuitable for wash basin use. It turns of too quick and it does not work with a tooth brush. You need to wave your hand behind your toothbrush to get it started. The toilets are very clean. They do have toilet seats, which is awesome. It would be nice if there was some soap to wash hands after a toilet visit. There is 1 washing machine for the whole camp site. That same machine is also used for the cleaning team to clean their cleaning cloths. The machine runs fast, 28 mins. The reception has odd opening times. Something to consider upfront if you need to go there. The woman in there is very friendly and helpful. Andre is a great guy and he does all he can to make your stay pleasant. The bakery store next door has amazingly good bread. The supermarket has everything you'll need. The camp site is advertised on its website as without loud disco noises. Sorry, but that's so not true. In case there is a festival nearby, expect to hear the festival music very loud. On other days you can hear a disco somewhere nearby. But if you're near the pool, like us, that disco sound is overriden by the music at the bar. Sometimes up to 03:00. Longer then the festivals or disco. After like 21:30 for only two or three bar guests. The conversations at the bar can be heard too well too. The lights around the camp site are too bright, at least those triggered by a motion sensor. I have seen people blocking the light by putting parasols in it's path. So, despite that i like the camp site, the minuses weigh in so that I won't go there again.

Very nice quiet campsite

Dangerous situation in the swimming pool. We were in the pool with small children when several teenagers, as is unfortunately so often the case, kept jumping violently into the pool from the waterfall - although this is clearly forbidden. There were other children in the water, even one with water wings. Our warnings were ignored and ridiculed by the youngsters, who continued to jump - sometimes right next to our children. We contacted reception. At first, they promised to take care of it - but we realized that the employee was still sitting in the office. She only went to the exit after we asked again, but was still reluctant to intervene. When she finally approached the young people, one of them even displayed threatening behavior. Nevertheless, it remained a very superficial approach. In a family pool, you expect protection and clear reactions in dangerous situations - especially when children are involved. Stay with your children in this swimming area, as such actions by teenagers occur again and again in this pool.

Quiet, relaxing and very well maintained campsite. Negative point: the owner's welcome (apart from the father) is not the most pleasant and the management of bookings is complex, as the name of the accommodation is different from their own name if you book your stay through one of their partners.
