Huttopia Les ChâteauxThis campsite offers 2 labels: accueil vélo and Loire à vélo. When we arrived (there were 2 of us), we were refused our place as cyclotourists on the grounds that they were full (I told them they had the accueil vélo label). It's too easy to have 6 bike pitches just to benefit from the two labels and refuse cyclotourists (but none of the pitches appear on the campsite map...). I strongly advise against this, as we were not offered any alternative solution (apart from bivouacking on the communal estate, or moving to another remote campsite) after a long day of cycling in very hot weather. I should add that, contrary to the label vélo charter, the manager formally forbade us access to the sanitary facilities, threatening to call the gendarmerie...

Ce camping propose 2 labels : accueil vélo et Loire à vélo. Lors de notre arrivée (nous étions 2), notre installation en tant que cyclotouristes nous est refusée au motif qu'ils étaient complets (je leur ai appris qu'ils avaient l'accueil vélo). Effectivement 6 emplacements vélos pour uniquement bénéficier des deux labels et refuser des cyclotouristes, c'est trop facile (mais aucun emplacement n'apparaît sur le plan du camping...). Je déconseille grandement car aucune solution de repli ne nous a été proposées (à part bivouaquer sur le domaine communal, ou bien nous orienter vers un autre camping éloigné) après une longue journée de velo et de grande chaleur. Je rajoute que contrairement à la charte du label vélo, la gérante nous a formellement interdit d'accéder aux sanitaires sous menace d'appeler la gendarmerie...

Camping La Grande VéyièreBeautiful campsite in the woods with a nice pool. Situated around an attractive building, where also delicious paella evenings are organized. Beautiful surroundings with quaint old villages nearby. The Dordogne River is half an hour away. Most pitches are beautiful to very beautiful, especially those near the pool, but the pick 49-53 is significantly less (little privacy, poor ground, bright light).

Mooie camping in het bos met een lekker zwembad. Gesitueerd rondom een sfeervol gebouw, waar ook oa lekkere paella-avonden georganiseerd worden. Prachtige omgeving met leuke oude dorpjes in de buurt. De rivier Dordogne ligt op een half uurtje rijden. De meeste kampeerplekken zijn mooi tot zeer mooi, met name die in de buurt van het zwembad, maar het plukje 49-53 is beduidend minder (weinig privacy, ondergrond slecht, felle lamp).
