We had a wonderful stay at Huttopia Lanmary Campground. A big thank you to the staff for their warm welcome and helpfulness. The campground is beautiful, nestled in the forest, in a quiet and very pleasant setting. It’s the perfect place to relax! We highly recommend this campground and will be happy to return!

We stayed at this campground two years ago and left our mobile home in exactly the same condition then as we did this time. Back then, there were no complaints.

This time, we were suddenly required to pay €89 for a final cleaning because, allegedly, the mobile home hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly enough. The biggest problem with this is that there was no checklist or information in the mobile home regarding what cleaning tasks were expected before departure. Even more disappointing was that we weren’t even given the opportunity to fix the issues ourselves. Instead, the fee was charged immediately.

In conversations with other guests, we learned that this approach is apparently not an isolated incident.

We find this behavior unfriendly toward customers. We will not be returning, and unfortunately, we cannot recommend this campground to others.

The pitch was full of sand ants flies and many mosquitoes. Hedging was mostly dead. Matting was all crumpled on the pitch which caused trip hazards. The young man on reception wasn't welcoming or helpful. The pool though nice, was way too warm for 36-40⁰ heat so never really cooled ourselves. Only good thing was proximity to the beach

Unfortunately, the bathroom in Villa 18 smelled of feces. We reported this in the lobby; two technicians came by and simply poured cleaning fluid into the toilet to flush it. The technicians said that if it still smelled in an hour, we should report it again. Guess who had already clocked out an hour later? After we complained again the next day, a young technician came and found the problem, but unfortunately couldn’t fix it. We received an email from the lobby offering us an apartment with only one shower or a house without a terrace or air conditioning—which, of course, wasn’t an option—so we ended up buying several air fresheners.... Unfortunately, we received no compensation. One more tip: if you’re assigned one of the back buildings (23–31), expect loud construction noise during the week since many more buildings are still under construction. We were the first guests in Building 18, which had a beautiful rooftop terrace and a fantastic kitchen. The furniture in the living room was high-quality, but unfortunately the beds were much too soft.

We spent a weekend at the campground and were pleasantly surprised—it was a very welcoming, beautiful, and spacious place with a magnificent pool. There was also a playground for the kids, which they loved. It’s right next to the lake and offers a magnificent view. The staff were very friendly, pleasant, and always smiling 😀 The tent was very clean, as were the restrooms and the rest of the campground.
A superb team that works hard to make our stay enjoyable and is there whenever we need them 🙂

Our little family wanted to check out the famous campground in person.

We wanted to rent a bungalow for next year and, since I have a gluten allergy, find out beforehand if I’d be able to manage there.

Unfortunately, we weren’t allowed in on the first day because it was too early, and we were told to come back the next day.
The next day, we weren’t allowed in because we only had our three IDs in digital form on our smartphones.

The frustrating part was that we waited 15 minutes at the front desk even though we had politely asked the staff at the gate beforehand.
What are we, as a small family, supposed to think of this campground now?

Unfortunately, in my opinion, the staff doesn’t exactly give this place a positive reputation.

We’ll try one of the competitors instead—it’s a real shame, because in our opinion, we can’t confirm the good reputation we’ve heard about, even from German TV.
