A nice campground by the lake.
Clean restrooms; the pools are a bit small when it gets crowded.

This was our first and definitely our last stay at Camp Poljana.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. There was constant construction noise throughout the campsite, which significantly affected our stay. In addition, there were an excessive number of wasps and ants, making camping very unpleasant.

What disappointed us the most was the attitude of the staff. As a man, I repeatedly had the impression that I was not welcome. The staff were not particularly friendly, and overall we did not feel well treated.

It’s a shame because we were looking forward to our stay. For us, it’s clear that we will not return and, unfortunately, cannot recommend this campsite.

A beautiful, secluded wooden chalet—everything is old and classic. If you’re afraid of germs, you should stay at a 5-star hotel because it’s not sterile here. All you see are trees and woods—no other houses or people. You have to love it.

Very nice location, right on the beach. The grounds are clean. Everything you need for a RV is available on-site (electricity, water). The city center is just a few minutes away. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food is delicious. We’d love to come back again and again.

A beautiful, well-maintained campground with plenty of greenery. The ground is well-drained, so you won’t get wet feet easily. Spacious sites with their own water and drainage. Located along the bike route network.
Fresh eggs from their own chickens.
Definitely a great choice for families with young children.

Mooie goed onderhouden groene camping.

When we arrived, the site we had been assigned was occupied by a tent, so we had to set up on another one. Two days later, when the assigned site became available, we asked if we could move the RV to that spot, and we were told that the site had been assigned to us from the very beginning. We were surprised when, at the end of our reservation and upon wanting to extend our stay (an option we had already discussed at check-in and to which no objection had been raised), we were informed that we had to move again because that site was reserved for a seasonal guest.

What we don’t understand is that, when we chose the first alternative site, the staff member who accompanied us specifically told us that sites with a sticker were reserved for long-term guests and that we couldn’t occupy them. If this site was also reserved for a seasonal guest, why were we allowed to move there, and why was it assigned to us in the first place? I should also clarify that it did not have a sticker.

Furthermore, communication left much to be desired. At 4:15 p.m., a staff member came to tell us that we had to move the motorhome or leave the campground, giving us until 5:00 p.m. to make a decision. In a situation like this, the least they could have done was have a manager step forward, apologize for the inconvenience, and offer a solution.

My criticism has never been that the campground honors reservations—that’s completely logical. The criticism is about the management. If a site was already reserved for another guest—especially with the campground practically empty—the most reasonable course of action would have been not to assign it or allow the change to that site. We would have been spared having to unpack and set up the RV several times during the same stay.

This is constructive criticism because the campground has many positive aspects, but the organization and customer service in this instance fell far short of expectations.

After spending roughly twenty years at La Clémentine Campground, I can tell you that this year has been my worst vacation yet. If things keep going like this, I’d advise everyone to avoid it. Compared to last year, when Dimitri was there with his professionalism, his warm welcome, and his good humor—it’s nothing like that anymore. Without him, it’s just not the same.

We’re here with the family for two weeks. We had an XXL site, which unfortunately is very close to the amusement park. The 11:00 p.m. quiet hours aren’t strictly enforced, and since there aren’t any checks, it can get very loud at times. Unfortunately, we also found that the kids’ pool closed at 3:00 p.m.; we suspect the water quality was an issue, and the other pools are also very cloudy, which isn’t exactly appealing. The beach isn’t the biggest, which makes it a bit difficult to find a good spot in the afternoon. The supermarket doesn’t carry any fish or fresh meat for grilling. Overall, we weren’t impressed.
