We had a great vacation, beautiful surroundings, cozy and good staff. Nice activities for the kids and a nice clean pool. We were in a happy oak cottage and it was a nice cottage with great facilities but if we could give a small point of improvement it would be the comfort of the beds and sofa, here we were not really satisfied. You could feel the springs in the bed and also the couch and chairs did not score a satisfactory. Otherwise we had a great time and will probably come back one day.

We stayed 2 nights at TAIGA, in a converted tent. Everything was exactly as described. The bedding is more comfortable than in some hotels. It's lovely, very clean and well equipped! We were able to rent bikes on site for a very, very competitive price, although the bikes were not at all comfortable. We don't recommend eating there, as the waiters are not friendly and the food is average.

We booked a glamping tent through Booking.com and would like to share our mixed experiences so that other guests can get a better idea of what to expect. The contactless check-in was very well organized - everything was explained clearly and the key handover via letterbox worked without any problems. The complex itself is also very nicely located and well maintained. The tent looked like the one in the pictures, but we had considerable problems with the heating. The stove in the tent worked at first, but then developed a lot of smoke, so that the whole tent was smoky. Our clothes and objects smelled strongly of smoke, I started coughing and one person in our group with pneumonia was additionally affected. After the stove could no longer be used, it was very cold and damp in the tent, which made the overall stay unpleasant. We contacted the accommodation several times, but unfortunately the response was not particularly cooperative. We were told that we could possibly move to a heated vacation home in two days - but this was not an option in our situation. There was no direct solution or concession, and we also had to contact customer service via Booking.com for a refund, as the accommodation itself did not respond. We would like to emphasize: The resort is really nice, and those who book a vacation home will certainly have a good time here. However, we would not recommend the glamping tent for the colder months, as heating and humidity are a real problem and the stay can quickly become uncomfortable.

As one of the last guests of this season, we enjoyed a midweek at De bonte Fries. It is small scale, kid friendly, has a nice variety of animals, a hay barn with pendulum rope (favorite with the kids) and much more. The kids had a great time. Marije is a super friendly hostess, who with infectious enthusiasm gave us a nice stay. Farmer Piet, as a hard working farmer, also has an eye for his guests and is always up for a chat. Super nice people! Highly recommended, even with less beautiful weather.

Quiet, pitches in the middle of pine forest, spacious. Extra nice activities, unobtrusive entertainment, great for a family vacation.

We had a great few days at the park. The service is first class. The facilities in the houses leave nothing to be desired. A beautiful concept. And with lots of opportunities for activities - free of charge. The sauna 👌🏻! We'll be back in the summer to try out a house with a pool. A little tip: a desk in one of the upper rooms would be cool. And a much better and more stable WiFi. Unfortunately, it was often not good. Thank you very much.

We were on pitch 78 with a private sanitary block. This was basically clean and functionally equipped. Hot water was available and was supplied quickly, but the water pressure dropped significantly very quickly during the shower until only a weak stream came out of the shower head at the end. Absolutely inadequate for a relaxing shower. It's a shame that this known defect has been reported several times by other guests but has not been rectified. The pitch is located directly on the main road and is still quite quiet. Unfortunately, some drivers behave as if they were on the Nürburgring - well over 10 km/h. Another big problem: there are two mighty oak trees on pitch 78, which shed masses of leaves and acorns in the fall. Our caravan roof ended up looking like a crumble cake. This still needs to be cleaned up Pitches like this should simply not be allocated during the season. The power supply is also disappointing: with only a 10 amp fuse, it's barely enough for the fridge and convection oven at the same time - the fridge then beeps cheerfully because the fuse blows. This is not acceptable for a modern campsite. Positive: The site as a whole is beautifully designed, spacious and well-kept. Hikes in the neighboring nature reserves are highly recommended. The restaurant impresses with delicious beers, refreshing drinks and a successful winter menu - well worth a visit. Conclusion: A beautiful campsite with potential, but unfortunately pitch 78 cannot be recommended in its current form.

The tents convey a complete "glamping" feeling. Only in cold temperatures does it feel like normal camping.

We stayed here for a long weekend in June. The campground is large and there are several options in terms of pitches. On an open field or just a little more privacy with bushes fenced in. We preferred pitch 401 based on the map. This is a somewhat smaller field, close to sanitary facilities and swimming pool. Unfortunately also with the least playground, only a small slide and sandbox. There are plenty of nice playgrounds all over the campsite. The spots on this field were ok, but am glad we didn't have rain. Because the spots are somewhat in a pit and we would have definitely stood in a puddle of water. The plumbing is not the best. The showers have a weak jet and a timer of 5 min, after which you have to wait another 5 min. This makes it almost impossible to wash your hair normally. And even though it was quite busy with campers, the toilets were only cleaned once a day. In the evening I actually did not want to use them anymore, so dirty! Swimming pool all nice. Part can be covered. Large paddling pool, slide and also space to swim laps. Paddling pool fenced off for extra safety, great! Opening hours of the supermarket was very limited 1 to 2 hours on a day and nearest ordinary supermarket still at least fifteen minutes drive. But if you take this into account it is fine. When we were there there was unfortunately no animation, but fortunately there is plenty to do on the campsite. The restaurant and terrace are a great place for a snack and a drink. Eaten once in the evening but that experience was less. We were very rushed to make a choice and order quickly. "Because they have a small kitchen and then we could join the ordering round"??? The restaurant was 1/3 full....? Food otherwise fine. All in all nice campground in nice area. We had a great time and super for kids.

There's so much to write about Camping Villanova Park following our 4 night stay in the middle of October 2025 with friends in our motorhomes. The first impressions are very much the same as our last impressions, a very well maintained as near to immaculate a campsite as we've stayed on in recent years. The only drawback or slight negative point is the location, being a 30 minute cycle ride from the coast and the main town. Upon our arrival the reception staff were friendly, polite, courteous & helpful. We were even given a Villanova 'bag for life' shopping bag. The campsite, very large in size, has a mix of camping pitches, pitches for motorhomes & camping cars as well as their own accommodation & that of holiday companies like Eurocamp. The site is immaculately clean and well maintained, everyday we saw the staff working on maintaining the site, from planting flower beds, replacing light bulbs in the street furniture to clearing pitches of pine needles. The washblocks were immaculate, ok yes we were visiting in low season when the site wasn't particularly busy, but still the impression was very good. I could imagine in the height of high season that the site is very crowded & busy, possibly not as comfortable a place to be as it was during our October visit. The restaurant, bar and main shop were all open, with the restaurant still serving meals throughout the day. We went to the out of season Wednesday night function, just over €17 each with a bottle of wine, welcome drink & 3 course meal with entertainment; excellent value for money. The staff throughout the site & our stay, along with the 'lifers' & residents were all so friendly. The facilities are very good with pretty much everything you'll need for a comfortable & enjoyable break. Visiting out of season was perfect for us, not very busy, just relaxing. Not sure what it would be like in the high season, probably very busy. The pool area was very nice, a great place to sit, just below the restaurant & bar, to relax & soak up the sun. The shop was well stocked, and whilst more expensive than a major supermarket, was still very convenient for what we needed during our short stay. As I say the only negative was the location, the site is quite a way out of the main town, but we were assured by the residents who we met, that the site is well served by local buses, which was evident when we left the site to cycle into the town. All-in-all a very nice site. There was work going on whilst we were there to replace some chalets close to the main shop, evidence of continual site improvement. Check out my other reviews & photos. What a fantastic experience. It is wonderfully røstig, but certainly not quiet. There is a fantastic atmosphere. The "living room" is a lovely residence where there is coffee and tea all day. At the toilets and dishwashing facility there is just neat detergent and tea towels. For people in a tent or pod there is neat cooking equipment and if you want to cook on an open fire or just light a fire, everything is possible. There is also a free to use sauna. Staff is very helpful and receives you with a big smile. At night it is very cozy around the campfire and the atmospheric lighting throughout the campsite makes it just that little bit more complete. A small kiosk with refreshments and even a kookhøt where you can cook yourself on an open fire or as we had even booked a 5 course dinner with the talented. We have had a camper for 18 years and stayed at many campsites, but like this experience never had before. So we will definitely come back to Dorst as well. By the way, this campsite is in 2 locations in the Netherlands, but had actually booked the wrong one (in retrospect, it was just great!). By bike from the campsite to Breda is still about 45 minutes, but ach.... you have the time to yourself. No whining kids, no Koos rabbit etc. but lots of laughter and the occasional good conversation. What more could you want.... Thanks to the whole team at Røstig in Dorst. Bas and Karin

Nice park with a simple but fine pool for an hour of entertainment with children (tip: bring something of a ball or inflatable items yourself) Playground, table tennis table, soccer cage etc. On the park restaurant with small indoor playground and possibility of bowling. Surrounding area offers enough for beautiful walks in the woods and fun trips, such as Julianatoren, apenheul, zoo Amersfoort etc.
