Summary created out of 264 reviews

EuroParcs Zilverstrand is beautifully situated in the middle of nature with its own beach by the water, where guests can relax and enjoy walks. The staff are often praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, and the location offers a great base for exploring the surrounding area. However, there are concerns about the condition of the swimming pool, which is in urgent need of renovation, and about the overall cleanliness which does not always meet expectations.

We stayed in a nice 6-person cottage (with 3 adults). The beds were fine (but bring your own pillows because they’re very soft), the bathroom was fairly new (no shower curtain or door, so everything gets soaking wet after a shower), and the kitchen was fine and had a dishwasher. The sofa and dining room chairs are due for an update, but that was the only thing in the cottage that wasn’t quite up to par, shall we say. The surroundings themselves were also very neat—a bit sparse in appearance but clean. The reception staff were also very helpful. But then there’s the center… what a joke….Mini-market… truly mini, indeed. The restaurant had absolutely no atmosphere—it was like eating in some kind of barracks. The waitstaff there weren’t exactly the sharpest tools in the shed either. The snack bar was fine, but ridiculously expensive. The pool was small but decent. The lake was great, of course… when the weather’s nice (and it wasn’t really). And well… everything closes at 8 p.m. Boom, that’s it… nothing left to do. The only fun thing left was the pool table (€2.00 per game, twice), but that wasn’t allowed after 9:30 p.m. either.
Well, there you are with two older kids who’d like to do something in the evening…All in all, we left two days early because it was getting really boring playing Yahtzee every night. Too bad, but we won’t be going back to Europarcs next time.

Snackbar was prima alleen loei-duur.

The cottages are very outdated. They’re also not clean—there’s mold, the floor in the shower stall is loose, it smells bad after showering, and the room stays very damp, even with the window open and the ventilation on. But I could already see that the ventilation grille needs to be cleaned. The bedding is covered in stains; the mattresses and pillows are too dirty to even touch. The furniture is truly awful—you can’t really sit comfortably on it. And everything is covered in stains. It just gives me the creeps when I sit on it. The patio set isn’t comfortable either; a cushion wouldn’t have been a luxury. We ended up buying a couple of lounge chairs at Action ourselves so we could at least sit somewhat comfortably during our two weeks.
Don’t expect to be able to sleep in at the park itself. The grounds crew starts working here as early as 8 a.m. They’re right outside your cottage with the leaf blower or the lawn mower. During the two weeks we stayed here, we were only able to sleep in on the weekends. It was one big disappointment on this vacation. Never again for us. I wouldn’t recommend this park either. The price isn’t worth what you get. And the photos on the website should accurately reflect what you actually get. If I’d seen this interior in the photos beforehand, I wouldn’t have booked it in the first place.

At Julias, the service is poor; the staff speak little to no English or German—not good service.

The chalet was very small; I couldn't even use the closets because the beds blocked them from opening, and the pillows smelled of sweat 🤢🤢

The (only) water slide (from 1920, I think) wasn’t working; the kids had to pour water on it themselves

    No AC inside the restaurant

The beach bar closes early, which is a real shame given the beautiful, sunny, warm weather

this is a translation, click here for the original
