Wilsumer Berge is beautifully situated in nature and praised for its friendly, helpful staff and lovely forest setting. The large swimming lake with slides, children's entertainment, and dog area with its own pond are widely appreciated. The modern lodges and holiday homes receive many compliments, as do the hot tubs at various accommodations. Areas for improvement include the sanitary facilities on some fields (outdated, insufficient capacity, inconsistent cleaning), the varying condition of pitches (mud, sand), and occasionally long waiting times or limited opening hours at the restaurant.

We had a wonderful stay at the new Nature Lodges. The service was perfect, and you could get fresh rolls every morning at the little market. They also have a small selection of groceries and little items like toothbrushes and the like, in case you’ve forgotten something. Plus, the prices were very reasonable (lodging, snacks, market).
The … accommodations were very well-equipped (see photos). There are play areas for children everywhere you look. During the season, the dedicated staff offers daily activities for young and old alike. If the weather happens to be bad, there’s a large indoor play park that you can use for free. We really liked that.
When the weather is nice, there’s a great water playground.
The paths are well-maintained. It’s lovely to go for a walk with a stroller and enjoy nature.
One evening we also had dinner at the restaurant. The menu is straightforward, but the food is freshly prepared and was very tasty.
The snack bar offers “Dutch fast food.”
The only thing that would make the stay even better would be the option to have a barbecue.

We stayed at the campground with our trailer; the sites were very spacious, with good electrical hookups, Wi-Fi, clean restroom facilities, and friendly staff who spoke both German and Dutch. At the front desk, there were plenty of brochures with information on things to do in the surrounding area. It was definitely worth it.
