From roller coasters to seeing animals up close: there is plenty to do in the area for a day outside the park. At the Efteling, you alternate the fairytale forest with roller coasters and shows. At Safaripark Beekse Bergen you drive or walk among wild animals and for a moment it feels like you’re on safari. Dierenrijk is a bit smaller and especially fun for seeing animals up close, with playgrounds in between. That way, no day is ever the same.

As soon as you leave the park, you’re surrounded by greenery. Forest paths, sandy roads, and open spaces alternate as you walk or cycle through the Brabantse Kempen. Routes take you through areas like De Mortelen and Kampina, where heathlands, fens, and forests alternate. Along the way, you’ll pass small villages and quiet roads. Just pick a route and go, without much planning.

The city is compact enough to stroll around for a few hours without having to plan everything. You'll quickly find yourself outside again and back in the greenery.     Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our stay and would not recommend this vacation park, especially not for a longer stay.

    You pay for a three-bedroom unit, but upon arrival, only 1.5 beds were made up for us (2 adults and a baby). You then have to pay an extra €12.50 for clean sheets and €5 per towel for clean towels. Strikingly, … there are no hooks in the kitchen or bathroom to hang dish towels and bath towels, which is very impractical.

    Additionally, Airbnb listed that a shared washing machine would be available, but it turned out not to be there. For long-term rentals, we consider this important information. The amenities are also very limited: the TV isn’t compatible with Netflix, YouTube, etc., and in the kitchen, for example, there was only one small paring knife.

    Furthermore, the front desk/customer service has very limited hours, so you can hardly go anywhere with questions.

    The biggest problem was the internet. We went nearly a week (6 days) without internet. We were told this was due to a Ziggo outage, even though we saw the Ziggo package for the park sitting at the reception desk/package area. This gave us the strong impression that the necessary equipment simply hadn’t been installed yet. Despite six days without internet, no compensation was offered whatsoever.

    For the price you pay here, we definitely expected more service, comfort, and better amenities. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back a second time.

    Helaas zijn wij erg teleurgesteld in ons verblijf en zouden we dit vakantiepark niet aanraden, zeker niet voor een langer verblijf.

    Je betaalt voor een accommodatie met drie slaapkamers, maar bij aankomst waren voor ons (2 volwassenen en een baby) slechts 1,5 bed opgemaakt. Voor schoon beddengoed betaal je vervolgens €12,50 extra en voor schone handdoeken €5 per handdoek. Opvallend genoeg zijn er geen haakjes in de keuken of badkamer om vaatdoeken en handdoeken op te hangen, wat erg onpraktisch is.

    Daarnaast stond op Airbnb vermeld dat er een gezamenlijke wasmachine aanwezig zou zijn, maar deze bleek er niet te zijn. Voor long-term verhuur vinden wij dit belangrijke informatie. Ook de voorzieningen zijn erg beperkt: de tv is niet geschikt voor Netflix, YouTube e.d. en in de keuken was bijvoorbeeld maar één klein schilmesje aanwezig.

    De receptie/klantenservice is bovendien maar zeer beperkt geopend, waardoor je met vragen nauwelijks ergens terechtkunt.

    Het grootste probleem was het internet. Wij hebben bijna een week (6 dagen) zonder internet gezeten. Er werd aangegeven dat dit door een storing bij Ziggo kwam, terwijl wij het Ziggo-pakket voor het park bij de receptie/pakketjes zagen liggen. Dit gaf ons sterk de indruk dat de benodigde apparatuur simpelweg nog niet was geïnstalleerd. Ondanks zes dagen zonder internet is er geen enkele compensatie aangeboden.

    Voor de prijs die je hier betaalt, hadden wij absoluut meer service, comfort en betere voorzieningen verwacht. Voor ons helaas geen tweede keer.

    A lovely vacation park—we spent three weeks there and would book it again anytime. The adjacent swimming pool is available for free use and is just as neat and clean as the entire park.
    The reception staff, as well as all the gardeners and housekeepers we met, are very friendly and helpful.

    Ein schöner Urlaubspark, wor waren 3 Wochen dort und würden jederzeit wieder buchen, das angrenzende Schwimmbad kann kostenfrei mit benutzt werden, welches ebenfalls sehr ordentlich und sauber ist, wie der gesamte Park.
    Das Tezeptionsteam genauso wie alle Gärtner und Hauskeeper die wir getroffen haben sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

    Wir können einen Urlaub hier sehr empfehlen.

    The park is very beautiful and has lots of fun attractions. Unfortunately, there’s one major drawback: the public swimming pool. You regularly see people going into the water in regular clothes instead of swimwear. By this, I don’t mean full-coverage swimwear—I have no objection to that. I mean regular clothes that people also wear outside. In my … opinion, that’s unhygienic and shouldn’t be allowed. It would be good if the staff paid more attention to this, because it reduces the comfort of other guests and damages the park’s image.

    Het park is erg mooi en heeft veel leuke attracties. Helaas is er één groot minpunt: het openbare zwembad. Regelmatig zie je mensen die in gewone kleding het water ingaan, in plaats van in zwemkleding. Ik bedoel hiermee niet de volledige bedekkende zwemkleding – daar heb ik geen bezwaar tegen. Ik bedoel gewone kleding waarin mensen ook buiten lopen. Naar mijn mening is dat niet hygiënisch en zou dat niet toegestaan moeten zijn. Het zou goed zijn als het personeel hier meer aandacht aan besteedt, omdat dit het comfort van andere gasten vermindert en de uitstraling van het park schaadt.

    Friendly staff, the cottage was great. There was no kettle, and the beds weren’t made properly, but that was quickly fixed. The entrance to the park and the cottage were hard to find. There were no clear signs. Bicycles were included in the deal, but one of them was broken, so we had to go to Veldhoven.

    Vriendelijk personeel, huisje was top. Miste een waterkoker en bedden waren verkeerd opgemaakt maar dat was snel verholpen. Ingang van het park en huisje waren moeilijk te vinden. Geen duidelijke wegwijzering. Fietsen kregen we bij de deal maar daarvan was 1 kapot waardoor we naar Veldhoven moesten.
