Camping De Scherpenhof looks like a great deal on the face of it, but when you look behind the doors, much is found to be outdated and dirty. In our mobile home, handles of certain doors were broken, we removed more than 30(!) spiders and associated cobwebs and after cleaning the caravan, because we found it simply too dirty, our suds were dark gray in color. Animation was okay, but also the pools were outdated and with grayish water and dirty floors. We went swimming at a pool outside the campground twice as a result. We were so disappointed in our stay at this campground that we left the campground early. The pictures are of how we found the mobile home our first day of vacation

beautiful location, but way too crowded so the too small plumbing is constantly filthy. The hand soap and towels were not refilled during our stay. Build a few more toilet blocks and it is a super relaxing campsite.

Quiet location, very good facilities, very nice staff, tennis court, pool and bicycle service, everything top!

Beautiful fine family campground A very fine relatively small campground. We were on a very spacious spot in the forest which was fantastic. Nice and clean plumbing with washing machine. Very nice and friendly staff. Only the swimming pool, which by the way was spacious enough and provided a lot of fun and entertainment, had milky bathing water which caused eye inflammation in the whole family. Campground is in a beautiful area with plenty of opportunities for young and old. We will definitely come back again.

A fantastic cozy little campsite! Plenty of space for neighbors, clean and tidy facilities, restaurant/bar with the best view of the river. But most importantly, VERY pleasant and helpful hosts!

It was a very nice and new cottage. The jacuzzi was really fantastic, we spent hours in it. What was also very nice that you so from the park the Sallandse Heuvelrug could cycle. We enjoyed it.

Cute campsite with large pitches and very good service. Great starting point for cycling tours to Römö or Tönder. Highly recommended!

Really nice campground in a fantastic location on a beautiful lake. The campground is well cared for and has a nice swimming pool. Staff are helpful and always greet you friendly. However at the bar things sometimes went wrong with ordering bread and compared to other Huttopia's this was the worst coffee ever (give staff a course Barista). And as final feedback, a little more often check the toilet rolls because they were often out. But still....5* :) The surroundings are also very nice but poor. For example, do not expect markets with abundance of beautiful products.

Excellent sheep ice cream place with one of a kind, types of ice cream such as "seaberry" (duindoorn), "caramel sea asparagus" (caramel zeekraal). They also have many beautiful high quality wool products, cheeses, and cranberry products.

Confusion on arrival, Traveling with 2 children, very loud music until 1am, then drunk people from outside the campground driving their car around the caming until 2:30am! "Ibiza vibe" at the restaurant. The rest is flat commerce. Friendly staff. The owner has faces.
