Coming home here—that’s what this weekend in the Swinnenbos was like for us. A family campground with a family atmosphere. We were there for just three nights in our little tent, but we enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee on the terrace in the mornings, and on Sunday evening we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the tapas platter—highly recommended :) The only downside was that some other guests started drinking beer with a group at midnight, which disrupted the peace and quiet. But fortunately, that was a one-time occurrence.

Nice campground, with both sun and shade. Clean and well-maintained restroom facilities. Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk, and a cozy place.

A campground where you can't pitch a tent???????????? Then it's hardly a campground at all

We spent four weeks by the water with private bathroom facilities—it was truly a pleasure. We’ve already booked again for next year.

We really enjoyed our last 14 days at Mareveld Campground in Schimmert, Limburg! It’s a small campground with spacious sites—some of which, like ours, have water and drainage—and plenty of room for your caravan. There’s a lovely swimming pool, which was a real treat these past few days with this heat.A wonderful restaurant where we had some great meals, with an atmosphere reminiscent of days gone by. The outdoor terrace is perfect for enjoying a drink or a meal under the trees, which are beautifully lit in the evening.The surroundings are absolutely beautiful; we went on some wonderful bike rides. Valkenburg and Maastricht are within biking distance, and the rest of the area is also gorgeous for biking or hiking. We’ll definitely be back here—it’s fantastic!

The mobile home was perfect and clean, with a comfortable bed. The location couldn’t have been better, and there were good dining options at the campground. The only downsides were the disorganized check-in and check-out process, the lack of a campground store, and the absence of Wi-Fi. Also, the pool was closed once due to poor water quality in the toddler pool.
